The Fox SC 32 performance is the most high end of the options you presented, more in line with the Rockshox SiD so your presented options will only elicit responses for the Fox. What is your body type? Mesomorph, ectomorph or endomorph? What is your current usage like and how do you see this improving in your run up to munga? Reason I'm asking is because the Fox SC32 is a noticeably more flexy fork than a RS Reba and cheaper to maintain. How much time do what to play around with set up? BaGearA Posted January 18, 2021 Share A high end rockshox fork will have a charger 2 damper , these have been proven to be meh in terms of reliability and no spares are available. Numerous forums to go through to corroborate this. The fox forks use a fit4 damper on the factory forks and A grip damper on the performance forks, both have fantastic track records and spares are widely available. The fox are also slightly more plushy in my experience (I am biased) but both forks can have aftermarket skf seals fitted that solves this issue Wimmas 1 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I suppose it should read a foxy REBA ! I've had Marzocci, Magura, Fox and RockShox. I hear what the guys are saying and I respect their opinions, For me - a RockShok plse. If you have "unlimited" $$$$$ to throw at your project, get a second-hand or new SID. Lot's of online guys are doing crazy specials on forks now. Black is the new Orange Yes PaulSmith ........... BaGearA Posted January 18, 2021 Share Mid range rockshox forks still come with the Motion control emulsion dampers that are also spectacularly reliable. (Blue knob on the right side that reads 'motion control') For gravel I assume you mainly want comfort and reliability, damping isn't really part of the picture and for that I still rate the fox higher or A midrange rockshox (not their top tier forks) Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
DieselnDust Posted January 18, 2021 Share I'd go Reba for the purpose it's required for. If more xc style of riding or light trail then a fox sc 34. And space it down to 10mm.Even under my 68-70kg race weight I feel the 32 SC flexing. The 2021 model is supposed to be stiffer but under anyone over 75kg a 34 is the minimum. For me I'm more concerned with how the fork will be used and how easy it is to maintain especially during those long endurance events Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Christie Posted January 19, 2021 Share The right fork for the average SA mtb'er is the Fox 34 imo. 120mm of travel will cover most marathon, multi day stuff, and even the occasional rechnical bike park around Stellenbosch.
