While it might not create the mental anchor with a "was/now" strategy the "Price Reduced" wording will still trigger interest. In the near future we do plan to automatically indicate "Price drops" through a strikethrough "was" price like above and possible some kind of price drop badge on the ad to avoid the need to add text in the title like you suggest. But I think the motivations and perceptions might be a little different in the second hand environment. In my own experience selling non-cycling goods on other platforms I was very reluctant to reduce the price (and have it known) as I felt it signalled desperation and encouraged even lower low-ballers. We'll give it some careful consideration though. We wouldn't want an intended time saver just creating more "noise" or irritation for buyers. Someone will feel they "saved" when they negotiated someone down from R1000 to R750, but will feel hard done by if they paid R750 when the listed price was R750. We wouldn't want an intended time saver just creating more "noise" or irritation for buyers. if you want to do this, i would sggest having a cooling off period before the price change reflects. if the person chages the price within that period, the ad will show the new price only, and not the strike through old price if not, people will mark everything up, and immediately change the price, to create the perception of value this will be a lot of effort for little value imo Zebra 1 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
