I haven't ever really like the guy but kudos to him for backing himself, riding through the injuries and illness and finally snagging a stage - against pretty decent competition too. Nicely done sir! Good for him. His TdF record speaks volumes and to see a ride of his caliber suffering isn't great. Also, tour of Turkey sees the return of Fabio Jakobsen. Wayne pudding Mol Posted April 12, 2021 Share I'm a huge fan - he may have been cocky in his hey day but always thanked his team mates and most ex team mates speak highly of the man I saw a Matt Stephens interview with him and he just loves riding a bike and came across a nice a guy. Sure its not nice to see a champ fade but that's not a choice for the fans but rather the sportsperson I am on record saying he's not done but that was more hopeful than anything.
