GuyP Posted January 1, 2011 Share Just built this baby, my 2nd cyclocross (the 1st one is a more traditional 'cross). I decided to try a more radical approach to suspension after trying the Crater Cruise route on a normal 'cross, and having rattled myself half to death over the 100-odd kilometers. I'm about to give her a test ride to see how this will work. Danger Dassie
Jaco-fiets Posted January 1, 2011 Share Why hasnt this sport taken off in SA yet? Reckon our weather isnt bad enough if i look at the conditions of the international races

Reckon our weather isnt bad enough if i look at the conditions of the international races Yep, the mud doesn't hang around long enough in SA! Maybe it's time to put a SA spin on cyclocross - smoothish single track and jeep track over distance is what we could offer...

MoreTrails Posted January 19, 2011 Share Not a pure cyclo-x bike, but it'll give them a run for their money I suppose. Argus on this thing is going to be entertaining - 1x9 with a 42t up front... Edited January 19, 2011 by MoreTrails
MTB_Roadie Posted January 19, 2011 Share a bit irrelevant....but the other day while cycling around Stellenbosch I went on Bottelary road and seen 2 people with CX bikes on the side of the road, they were flying!! First i was like what a insane guy to cycle shortcuts over gravel with a road bike but when I eventually cought up to them I noticed it was to CX bikes...cant remember the bikes tho but looked like fun! Stretched@Birth Posted January 3, 2012 Share Technically not a CX bike, but not sure where else to post it... It's a Singular Gryphon, 1 x 9, with disk brakes, Blunt wheels, and drop bars. Trying to source some CX Tyres, and take it offroad. Was my Xmas present from my wife. Edited January 6, 2012 by Stretched@Birth
