KiNgL Posted January 31, 2011 Share Howdy. I ride a 2011 merida 96.It is an awesome machine and really enjoy riding it. This past weekend i went to groen kloof and attacked the rock garden section witha lot of speed, after doing my second lap i noticed a lot of dust collecting on the leftside of my Magura Durin 100 shock. I cant recall ever noticing this on any of my previous bikes shocks both rock shox.Is this a problem or normal ? Shock has done about 50hrs and is setup according to my weight and manufacturers specs.Anything to be worried about Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

The Drongo Posted February 1, 2011 Share KINgL Magura Durin had a recall in 2008/09 for their Race 80/100 forks due to weakness in the lower legs.Maguras have also had a problems with leaking oil seals which they have promised is sorted for 2011.!!?? Is your frame/fork def. a 2011 manufacture? At +- 50 hours of riding I would be straight back to the LBS! I agree with Johan. If you continue to ride it you are going to cause damage that will void any hope of warranty. Fight it! (Possibly leaving out the 'smashing through rock gardens' bit.) There is a ZA agent listed there. However, don't hold your breath, he still has not returned calls and messages. That Durin is now happily riding with Enduro seals. Done, sealed and dusted.
