  1. Great idea - I would make use of such a service. Your price seems good and I would charge a bit more for gear/brake sets. Ideally you would position yourself close to the trails so riders can make use of this straight after a ride. (Maybe joint venture with a coffee shop nearby?) I would leave it or do it myself if it can't happen directly after my ride - might as well then just go to LBS and have them do something else too. Love taking a clean bike home after a big day out. It would be great for this service to be offered by someone skilled for the job. Like every padstal now offering bespoke bean to cup coffee with a completely untrained "barista", too often places (even some LBSs) offering bike washes have everything they need but an unskilled person doing the washes. With the price of bikes I want someone to do it properly. A guy standing there with a pressure washer full blast 1mm away from the fork seals and then lubing it up like a Brazers Bonanza. Can't deal. This is just me though - other people would possibly bring in their bikes on a Monday like someone mentioned. FYI - in response to Steady Spin: https://hubtiger.com/pricing/
  2. more importantly...If Flückiger’s positive test is confirmed. Will his Strava times be voided ? I see him taking some of the local leaderboards here in Stellenbosch...
  3. Just to complete the line-up Got her three weeks ago - this was yesterday The Swiss Army knife of bikes imo - just a pity they make the Bontrager Line Comp 30 rims out of cheddar cheese
  4. Technique paired with 5-10s glued to DMR V12s Now I only experience foot numbness on long descents, but I believe that is a different thread. Been riding flats since I started in 2016 and now might just be at the tipping point to try clipless (clipped in? )
  5. You are a champion Wish someone could do this for me Lost mine 13 December in Jonkers Swyg soos die graf
  6. Sorry I have the K-traze or Lite - not sure what it is called, but the lighter one with a zip. Remember choosing between the two and the KPact was way too bulky for the riding I do
  7. 100cement It is just the difference between moaning to the Mrs beer in hand after a slam or having to ask her to take you to get stitches at the ER lol
  8. I use kneepads on almost every ride. Minimal extra effort and impact on feel during a ride, but so worth it every time you go down Use to have G-Forms (those yellow ones - proper ninja turtle) which you forget you are wearing after a bit and bearable in Boland summers. They offered decent protection - had a few slides on them. I now have the Ion K-Pact Zip which I think is a great design. I zip them to the downtube for the flats/climbs and put them on for downhills which works great Been lasting for >2yrs now so pretty decent quality. https://thebrandstable.co.za/product-category/ion-bike/protection/ Also have the 661 Recon Knee Pads which are similar to the G-Forms albeit a bit less protection in my opinion. Sometimes wear them in winter under long pants. Use to wear elbow guards after slamming hard and getting stitches Troy Lee slim pads - still have them but they are quite shite Looking to get Leatt Airflex Pro for the elbows
  9. Went back this AM and.....glasses gone, nothing handed in at the gate either. Anyway, was a lekker ride nonetheless. Conditions were prime
  10. Hi Hubbers, Went up Jonkers this AM via Irish - so lekker Stopped to take in the awesomeness and recalibrate before the race of the rat kicks off another cycle... Almost at the end of Armageddon I realise I forgot my glasses between Irish 7 and the last black climb section to saaltjie Had no time (or energy) to go up an retrieve it - informed the lady at the gate if someone might return it (wishful) (Actually noticed it in one of the pics I took) Anyway....if by some miracle.... D'Arcs photochromic sunglasses - holla at me please By voorbaat dankie Many thanks Warmest of regards
  11. It was quite a rush job just before a trip (Mrs already sitting shotgun) so could be neater but....it works so well never bothered to change. You only see it if you are quite tall and looking - otherwise invisible and works 100%
