  1. The Silverback Sido !!!! I know they can handle the weight... Mine does. Plus it has a lifetime warranty.
  2. I would say buy new... Being new to the sport one often lacks the skills to know what to look at in a second hand bike. New has got warranties that are great to know you have. Then I must second the Liv Tempt it's a great bike, my wife has got one & loves it!!! Or maybe the Silverback Slade...
  3. Hi everyone Been following the Hub for a while now. We are moving to Bloem this weekend & I would like to find out about places to ride Mtb, safety & places to avoid. So if any of the Bloem guys can share some info I would appreciate if. Thanks Tony
  4. I believe the new Silverback Sprint range has a 27.5 plus option....
  5. May I suggest the Silverback Slade range.. It's 27.5. I have the Slade 3 and so far it's surviving. But I mostly ride gravel roads and jeeptrack. Only had two spokes come loose last year and I weight almost as much as you.
  6. Or if you're not looking for much climbing... Take the R61 to Graaff Reinet & just outside town turn left toward Steenbokkie Nature reserve ( there are boards) after about 1.5km that road turns gravel and you can go for 80 - 100km. Pretty flat thou but perfect for your CX bike..
  7. Hi guys the park now has a short single track section that you can ride.. 3km I think. Yes the road to Loxton turns off just north of Beaufort, starts out tar then turns gravel some nice climbs out there.
  8. You can also check out the Liv range from Gaint... Great bikes for the ladies, better esp if she is on the petite side.
