  1. I don't know where you got that info from, but that's not true at all. Carbon essentially has no fatigue life. Now, there's bad carbon and good carbon, just like bad and good alu and steel. Bad carbon will be a problem, just like bad steel. Good carbon is really good. Carbon has had issues when it started in cycling, just like anything new has growing pains. You have to do research on pre-2000 carbon. Carbon needed a different quality control than metal. 2014 carbon is safe. NOTE: I'm not pushing you one way or another. I'm just trying to stop bad information.
  2. You should always panic when reading medical advice on the hub...
  3. When you wake up from surgery and you're told the anaesthesiologist panicked when your HR dropped below 30...
  4. In Italian it's translated as "I'm too poor to buy cheap shoes."
  5. Rode one on Monday. Very keen on this as well.
  6. Admin, on 13 Sept 2019 - 07:02 AM, said: A fraudulent charge on Uber doesn't mean compromised through Uber. When credit card info is stolen, it has to be confirmed. So you need some kind of way to quickly check the card. The card information could easily be obtained elsewhere. Uber seems to be popular for this. (couldn't multiquote both posts, so this is a weird cut-and-paste)
  7. I prefer my road bike on rollers, but I've used my MTB. It's perfectly possible. Here are the drawbacks. They won't stop you, just keep them in mind. There's more noise. You might not have the gears. The handlebars are wider, which can make starting in a door frame more difficult, especially if you're not used to it.Modern long-low-slack geometry on your MTB might mean that your wheelbase is too long for many rollers.
  8. Max height. Halfway between ankle and knee. No triathlon fashion allowed. And that wiper blade will extend both ways, so you can easily spot the middle.
  9. Road or MTB? Urban or remote? The further from civilization you go, the more I'd recommend adding a leatherman or swiss army knife on top of a bike-specific tool. Something with a sizeable knife.
  10. They're being ordered to do it by a "National Emergency." They have no choice. It's like sanctions.
  11. If it makes anyone feel better, I've got a similar problem on a Google Nexus phone. It's not limited to Huawei. The Garmin 520 usually doesn't sync automatically.
  12. Sounds like there's a 3 month postponement right now. Might be enough to move from GApps to FDroid or something. Or switch to Google Ireland like they do with taxes. Wonder what other Chinese manufacturers will do now... Might just break Google's Android monopoly. Anyway, wrong forum.
  13. They stopped because of a US legal requirement. I'm sure they'd want the money otherwise. It's also not because of any potential trade with Iran. It's either because: - China uses Huawei to spy (US hasn't provided details) - US cannot use Huawei to spy like they use Cisco and Qualcomm to spy or maybe both.
  14. It might only be Skynet SA that's bad. Skynet Germany, for instance, could be great.
