  1. This was out at Red Rocks - it's about 30 minutes outside of downtown Denver, Colorado. Cool place - always come across wildlife when I've been out there. This was a herd of about 20 Elk - Most of them have shed their antlers for spring, but a couple still had theirs.
  2. Not too bad actually - roughly 30 to 35 Fahrenheit which is a few degrees either side of freezing. Problem is, with it being spring and the trails unfreezing, means tons of mud until it gets warmer.
  3. I'd say 80% of the second hand bikes in the US are more expensive than the equivalent in SA. When I first got here, I thought everyone must be smoking something.
  4. A little present to myself to get me back into biking
  5. Getting back into biking after a few years off
  6. The theory is that it's harder to get going again for the rider going uphill, so therefore the rider going down needs to give way. Use common sense though - if it's a heavy downhill trail, mainly with downhill riders and bikes bombing it, then I wouldn't expect them to stop (and I wouldn't be riding up that trail)
