  1. What a fantastic day out! ... But to the Self Proclaimed "pro rider" on his 2nd lap that started gobbing off at a Fat hacker like me for 'drafting' him and putting his career at risk... You my friend need to Recalibrate your thoughts. The back bunches are a Zombie Scene, it's the people Enjoying the experience... Sucking wheels, dodging wreckage, getting rained on... You had 1 lap of fun, dont bring your Chipped shoulder vibes to the rest of us Punters! Well done to everyone...!
  2. Absolut Gold. That bike is just pure pain waiting.. Beautiful. You going to get the best tour experience on that thing. Enjoy, and well done already!
  3. "Gear ratio is going to be key" ..... 44/16 all the man. Anything easier and you will need cadence like Froome on Fast-forward. Cant wait to hear your report back.
  4. It is me Revving to go out and hurt! Good luck man.. And glad i won't be alone on the 20inch rocket. Great effort raising money for the animals!
  5. I'm doing it on a bmx too.. 4th time bmx entry. Borat kits not welcomed, those emails didnt go down well from higher management. Fastest is 3hr 52min. Back next weekend for more pain. Great to see guys pumping the pressure and charity vibe.. Good on all of you. See you on the road with a low seat and screaming quads!
  6. Check in with Di Caroline. She is out that way.... And always mountain biking. Instagram or Facebook should lead you to finding her. She is a bike guide and very good rider.
  7. I attendend the race here in Croatia, it was awesome! I think the telly doesn't quite show how technical the track was. Steep in places, hectic Rocky sections, and a great location. Sure, wasn't exactly Champery or Andorra, but the beer is cheap and the sun is out. Great to watch some saffa boys out on the course too!!
  8. Hello Hubbers. I just flew Emirates on Friday..with 4 bikes.... I was very lucky to have a Business class ticket which allowed me (2 x 32kg bags each person). I did my homework with the Emirates small print, and most certainly called in advance to try reason how the hell a bike could never fit into a 150cm (l+w+h) bag.- they said All flights out of Africa are piece concept. So for many days I thought I was in for $500 fee for my baggage, but to make it worse my wife had 2 bikes with her too!..so that would have been $1000!!! (I tried "but I'm business and you making me pay for baggage"...the customer services on the phone didn't care. I had packed our 4 bikes to the weight of what normal baggage allowance is for business class (40kg)..hand luggage packed like a ton of bricks! At check in...not a word mentioned about piece concept! Bags tagged, and sent away!!! I flew Economy class to Dubai a month earlier, with a bike too. That time..23kg bike box and a 7kg bag...(hand luggage a ton), and that flight no issues either!!! I believe their piece concept may be a rule that is in place, but not necessarily imposed on us. I stressed my brains out for a week over the potential bag bill, but it turned out great. I think if you within your total baggage allowance, check in early, and smile and not come in too hot and yelling thinking you a cyclist with priorities...it will go well too. Thought I'd add my experience,as last week was hell stressing about baggage! Happy riding
