  1. Its not only the steepness of the climb but its the length that its steep for, just so relentless! On top of that is the 35kpmh average you mentioned, its full gas racing for 100km and then the climb. Also what you cant see on the profile because the final climb skews it so much, is that the whole course is pretty lumpy with a decent climb in the middle. Definitely study those videos!
  2. Keen for this year, hoping to not completely explode before the final climb even begins again.
  3. Gravel bike was best option, smooth dirt roads, fast single track, 4 river crossings, 2 fallen down trees to climb over, a CX style grass bank, some mud and a MASSIVE mountain
  4. Yessssss! Gonna be brutal!
  5. 3 June is THE GALLOWS - https://www.instagram.com/the_gallows__/ Entries open soon if you feel like rounding off a 110Km gravel thrash with a 13km climb where the last 6km is average 11%
  6. Interested in where you think there was unfair competition for this team?
  7. That was the most fun Ive had in a while coupled with the most Ive ever suffered on a bike. @Sidekick Racer you absolutely smashed it mate!

  9. Also rode last year and really looking forward to this year, but yeah I’m hoping there are more than 10 guys in Vets!
  10. The problem is you are out on the road riding solo or running solo in your privileged area. Service delivery folk are on their way to work and see you, those people then go home and tell family or coworkers that people are out and about. 1 week later everyone is out and about and there is no actual lockdown, the issue gets worse and the lockdown goes on for another 4-5 weeks as its being done in Spain and Switzerland.
  11. This is NOT a punishment. No one is punishing you personally for a global pandemic. This is a global strategy to stop the spread of this disease and spread out the timeframe of people going to hospitals so they can get adequate treatment. How are you taking this lockdown so personally, literally the whole world is going through it. Its simple, 3 weeks of our lives we are being asked to stay at home to help our communities. Just. stay. at. home.
  12. Hey Nutty, Was in your group a little ahead of you. A bottle popped out from someone, you hit it or swerved and went down, my friend was on your wheel and went into and over you along with one of the Savages and some other guys. My mate lost a lot of skin but ended up finishing. He was extremely shook up after seeing you on the floor in a pool of blood, hope its not very serious and you are back on the road quickly!
  13. Trevor works with all the Retul tech out of Revolution cycles in Bree Street. Really professional, he spent 8 years on the world tour as a coach so he knows his stuff.
  14. Hey David, Could you please explain the fitness page, or point me in the direction of where I can see what all the numbers mean there ie. fitness, fatigue and form. Thanks!
  15. Ok no problem, thats great was just interested to know! Amazing work, keep it up!
