  1. Haven't posted here in a while... thought I'd share some pics from my holiday is the Northern and Eastern Cape. 3 Rivers Trails in P.E: Between Jeffery's and Oyster Bay (I admit my bike didn't take me here, but I did have my bike with me): Heokwil (Stayed at a place called Loch Loerie): This guy was hanging on my handlebar 7 Passes road (road to Gearge from Hoekwil and back): Swartberg Mountain Pass: Carnavon in the Groot Karoo:
  2. Hi guys, I just replaced the battery on my Fenix 3, I've got a 3 extra batteries to sell if anybody is interested, there are a couple of guides/video's on Youtube that takes you through the process. PM me for price and details if you're interested. The same battery is compatible with the 3 and 3HR.
  3. Went to 3 Rivers Trails today with my son, did the short 15km trail with him. Fantastic place. The views and the trails are awesome. Planning to go back in the week to do a longer ride.
  4. I will, planning to make a few trips there during my time here. I'm quite sad that there aren't any trails in the Rockwell area, been using that road (Rockwell Drive I think?) and it looks so beautiful out there... I'm very tempted to take my bike there and see where some of those dirt roads go.
  5. Slipperfieldsv trails are closed permanently for MTB, only trail runners allowed. So 3 Rivers Trails seems to be the only trail park in the area.
  6. How many km's would this ride be? Would it be safe to ride on my own?
  7. Thanks, you're right, it's 22kms, somebody told me it's 60km's. Will give it a try in the week.
  8. Hi guys, I'm in Uitenhage staying with my in laws for a few weeks. I wanted to know if there's any trails to ride in the area. I see there is Slipperfields, but that's about 60km's out for me. Anything in the Rocklands area?
  9. Not a DOC ride, but I rode with DOC quite regularly to prepare for this one.

  11. I bought a 100% sunglass frame 6 months ago for use while driving and cycling, been very impressed, I mountain bike at least every weekend and the frame is holding up very well, no visible scratches or damage at all 6 months later, and they feel very durable. I picked the frame up at a bargain price of R900 on Takealot 6 months ago. Cheapest I can find it for now is R1685: https://www.acesports.co.za/products/100-type-s-sunglasses I had them fitted with Yellow tinted lenses and I think they're pretty awesome. The other models I considered in 100% range were the Daze: https://www.acesports.co.za/products/100-daze-sunglasses And the centric: https://www.acesports.co.za/products/100-centric-sunglasses The lenses costed me around R500, but I have a family connection thats an optom. Not sure why the picture is being added to the post upside-down... sorry.
  12. Rode from Rietvlei to a resort on the Vaal River (Deneysville area) on Saturday and rode back on Sunday with a group of really awesome guys. 108km's on Saturday an 91kms on Sunday. What a bloody awesome weekend.
