  3. first coffin plane "restored". this one had a huge chip i the blade, but body was sound Thanks @Tothehills for your generous gift
  4. No one has mentioned Jonershoek , which is a great option for most types of MTB aslo Helderberg
  5. newest home made tool. modern marking gauge from scratch. olive wood handle, shaft from a old printer. base from brass rod cutoff and ser knob from brass ingot i cast several years back
  6. trying more new things , I've always steered clear of mitre joints , so i tried that with 1st attempt at spline reinforcement and 1st sunk lid. all from scrap wood (kampher ) think resawing, and flattening was most of the effort
  7. @Captain Fastbastard Mayhem not yet , December life and shipping ....
  8. we had a awkwardly small space where i wanted a book shelf. tried to make it not boring, but simplistic. turned out to be quiet changing, but think I pulled it off. all from a single slab of camphor

  10. @The Ouzoono stock. but thst one would be ideal
  11. not the prettiest woodwork ive done , but completely functional. 5 bike rack with drawers for spares and tools
  12. Yea , my other option was silicone, but both have same difficulty in sealing the small mounting interface. let me know how your solution turns out

  14. So i receive a Edge 130 with 2h battery life. Not having had good experience with Garmin SA i decided to replace the battery myself. Amazon has real 130 replacement batteries , but shipping lipos are a pain so i decide to try the closet fit Lipo i could get: Garmin: Dimensions: 29.7 x 19.7 x 3.4mm Weight: 60.0g Voltage: 3.7V, Capacity: 150mAh, Generic: Dimensions: 26.5 x 20 x 3.8mm Voltage: 3,7V Capacity: 110mAh https://www.robotics.org.za/302025?search=lipo So although the generic has bit less capacity than the Garmin in, it sure would be better that the current situation and for R50 it was worth doing. Steps: Use hair drier to heat screen and glue that holds the screen in gentry lift the screen unscrew all the PCBs to get to the battery cut the red and black wires from the battery solder in the new battery replace the PCBs Charge the unit and check that its working Glue the screen back
