Hi - we will post something this weekend but unofficially, we have to give way to an event that has not previously had CSA sanctioning.

We would love to step into the void however previous experience has shown us that events held over the holiday period are not well attended at all. Previous races we've been lucky if we get 100 participants. Add to this the reluctance of the various traffic departments to give us permission due to the increased volumes of traffic on the public roads and we're a bit stymied. However, let's have a look at this going forward. It's a bit too late this year as event applications need to be in 3 months in advance. As an aside, the Winter League is a Western Province initiative, not Myriad Events, although we are the people who organise and run the races for them.

Event Name: Tour de Worcester Road RaceWhen: 10/09/2023Where: Nuy, Western CapeCategory: RoadThe Tour de Worcester is an iconic race of long standing. We have 2 distances to please everyone. A challenging 140km which starts in the Nuy Valley and heads out to Rawsonville before returning and looping around the Nuy Valley a couple of times. Then we have an 86km race that misses out on the loops. Join us at Leipzig Farm for some relaxation afterwards with wine tasting and beers from Saggy Stone, as well as the Leipzig renown Flammkucken to nibble on. Go to Event Page.

Event Name: Slanghoek - WP Winter League When: 21 June 2020 Where: Die Eike Coffee Shop, Western Cape Category: Road The final race of the Winter League takes place in the beautiful Slanghoek Valley. Event Name: Lady Loch - WP Winter League When: 14 June 2020 Where: Lady Loch, Western Cape Category: Road A perennial favourite of the cyclists - Lady Loch. This year with a bit of a twist. Cyclists head out on a large loop to Hermon on the R46 and over Botmaskloof Pass before heading back to do some smaller circuits around Lady Loch.
