  1. What a great report and "Kudo's" to you for taking the time and effort in putting it together
  2. I agree with everything being said here. The XR2 are excellent tyres and you may wish to consider merely replacing the front with a XR2 with the wider 2.3. option. Make sure sure you tire pressures are correct. I weigh 75 kgs and have a tire pressure of 24 psi rear and 21 psi front. I have also found that the Trek shock pressures given on their site are to hard and use the standard 20% sag. Change the rebound to the middle setting on the front and back and then play around and adjust to your liking by a turn at a time. Once dialed in it is the most stable and comfortable bikes I have ridden.
  3. I would strongly recommend the Thule. If you can be patient they do pop up on the HUB. If I can give you some advice. Whatever rack you decide on make sure your exhaust does not blow onto the bike as exhaust heat has destroyed a few races and holidays. The Thule has deflector plates which can be bought but as an extra. Good luck
  4. It is an amazing bike and have had Spez, Santa Cruz, and a Scott before this. Did a small upgrade and added a dropper and replaced the front tire with a Team Issue XR 2 and it make a difference. A very comfortable fast bike and the rear suspension really works as it says. Also very fast in singles. Despite only having a Fox 100mm up front it does not feel sketchy at all on fast singles and actually allows you to push harder, if that makes any sense. You wont regret it but try a test bike as we are all different.
  5. Hi Neville, I had a similar problem and solved it by syncing/ pairing the phone and device via blue-tooth on the phone rather than syncing via Garmin Connect on one's computer. Ensure all the metric settings are correct first. Hope that makes sense. Cheers.
  6. Correction: Multiply by 2,20462 to convert from Kg to LBS.
  7. Try the Stan's formula : Example: 185 (lbs) / 7 = 26.43 -1 = 25.43 psi front 185 (lbs) / 7 = 26.43 +2 = 28.43 psi rear If you only know you kg weight ( this must be with full gear) x 2,20462 to get to lbs. This is for tubeless and you must use an accurate gauge not a floor pump. if anyone knows of a better starting please post.
  8. I do think you should add the Trek Top Fuel 9.8 to your selection.
  9. Thank you, much appreciated
  10. Hi, can someone please save me me the trouble of working out what chain ring i'll need. I currently run a Shimano 11/36 with 38/24 chain rings on a 27,5 and will be moving to a 29er which has a Shimano 11/46 cassette. Which single chain ring should I match it with, without losing gears. Thanks.
  11. Hi Ferro, Would you mind sharing the price break down including all the duties, vat, price, delivery etc broken up individually. Thanks.
