  1. I have a height of 1,86m/6,2 feet. Trust me an XL will be a better fit if you have a long inseam. I bought a cannondale and although it's not a Trek with a 60mm stem and 760mm wide bars its an incredible comfortable ride. Your saddle to handlebar drop will be less and that alone is reason enough.
  2. When building up my Dale I decided to buy an integrated handlebar from Trifox. I settled on the IMX Elevate carbon bar with a 60mm stem. This model comes with an integrated mount for your cycling computer and a go pro style mount for a cycling light. I decided to cut the bar down to 760mm and coming from a riser type allu bar I can vouch for definitely an improvement of gravel road vibration on my hands. I can ride for hours on end using this bar and my hands do not get sore. I have since also bought a carbon seatpost from Trifox and their products are quality. PS: And the looks is killer...
  3. Will be holding thumbs that he is found does not look good though
  4. Disappointing ,but nessasary. I remember 2009 wind pumping MTN tent, start finish banners etc all blew away and the race still went ahead. I finished in one piece ,but going down chappies was no joke... Light bike=kite :-) PS:I would have preferred the race cancelled that year
  5. Yes I agree I do not think that would be possible. I recently went from road to mtb and the cup and cone XT hubs that came with my wheel set are easy to maintain and all it takes is to clean and grease them up when I do my monthly maintenance and they are good to go. Get a cone wrench and torque wrench and some good wheel bearing grease and you'll be good for many years to come.

  9. I am a bit of a noob when it comes to the MTB side of things ,but I was wondering if it would be possible to use a Shimano 105 11-32 road cassette on my XT M8000 hubs. Complete 11 M8000 group set incl derailleur and shifters on my 29'er MTB. My reasoning behind this is that I can train with the rather inexpensive 105 road cassette and then switch to a 11-42 XT cassette when doing more of the steeper hilly stuff. Is this a possibility?
  10. Lol remember I'm new to this MTB thing I'm used to wrapping handle bar tape :-) Sent from my LG G3 using Tapatalk
  11. I think I'm in Luv I should have ordered some more... Did a 2 hour ride and they are nice and comfy. I just put them in hot water and used gloves and lotsa elbow grease and the suckers slipped right on. http://i64.tinypic.com/25jca3q.jpg
  12. 5 minutes in water worked for me together with using some gloves and lotsa elbow grease.
  13. That makes up my mind then I'm new to MTB coming from road bike I bought a Merida with XT 2x11. I was considering going 1x11 ,but think I will keep the extra chain ring and shifter until I ride plenty of climbs and make up my mind.
  14. Sjo it's sooo cold in PE it's been tough going
