  1. Why didn't you tell us earlier you had a masters?? We would have instantly stopped having our opinion and agreed with you.
  2. More like beef pies have been told in the article. The Beef Checkoff Program is a producer-funded marketing and research program designed to increase domestic and/or international demand for beef.
  3. Not sure why you need to be so aggressive but anyway. No, I do my best to avoid imported products. I trust you also avoid ordering from overseas (CRC, Wiggle etc) just because they are cheaper? There seems to be this expectation that somehow vegans are perfect, which is obviously not the case. I'm sure there are areas where I could reduce my carbon footprint further, but the fact is that in a busy life that is not always possible. I, like many others, do the most I can. I don't judge people for eating meat or think anything less of them. We each make choices based on our values and beliefs. Live and let live.
  4. Respectfully disagree.
  5. I think you'll find the primary reason tick cream is put on cows is because they are an expensive investment and to minimise unnecessary complications. I very much doubt cows, like most wild animals, would go extinct due to a lack of tick cream.
  6. Please tell me you're joking with this comment
  7. Out of interest, are you concerned about your carbon footprint?
  8. I try to reduce my environmental footprint, but I'm fully aware I cannot eliminate it.
  9. Cheers for that, will definitely have a look after work.
  10. Honestly, leather is a hard one for me because it doesn't crack like synthetic leather and lasts much longer. Still, my personal choice is I don't use it if I can avoid it and so far I have been able to. I have not had to buy work shoes for a while so will need to look at my options then. I have several pairs of On Running shoes which are vegan fortunately...
  11. No sidestepping, neither my wife nor I use leather products any more. Funnily enough, a year later and I'm still clothed and breathing.
  12. Speaking for myself, veganism has required adjustment to my diet and the products I buy. But there's a difference between adjustment and compromise. I have adjusted my lifestyle, not compromised. People stand up for causes they believe in, I would not call it silly or trivialise it.
  13. Check out the Vegan Cyclist on YouTube, good channel and that dude pumps out a good number of watts on a vegan diet: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCpn6aFvwAI_hK9WuHcdvQGA Back to work now, have a good one all
