  1. Hopefully Epic don’t disqualify Matt Beers....all his Epic stages were on Strava:) lucky it is a stupid rule in the age of big data!
  2. I bought a Flux 2 3 weeks ago, mates all have Wahoo Core. I’m still waiting to have my first Zwift with power correct, have calibrated both on Flux & Zwift and still seems wrong, like pushing a cow uphill even on the flats! Been assured by the LBS by calibrating only the Flux will work, going to try tomorrow, if not it’s going back!
  3. Apologies for my non technical understanding but I have a old style Cycleops Fluid (non smart!) trainer and powertap hubs, Elite + & SL+ wheels, keep to join mates on Zwift, any idea if either of these hubs can connect to Zwift? Thanks
  4. HTFU#5 mates from CT did it for my 50th in 2012, 7 & did 125km & 2 the 68k, hardest 1 day on a mtb but fantastic experience! Did plenty of climbing in training & plenty of miles but still was tough, hot & skinny air, long portage on loose shale & last 15k technical descent hard on the hands. We went 10 days early, booked Erik at MTBVerbier as guide & logistics, brilliant Dutchman, so lots of prep in altitude & technical trail sections & fun time! ???????? good luck well worth the effort!
  5. Brilliant day, great route and privilege to transverse Groenlandberg, suffered on the climb out the saddle into the wind, lack of distance training but well worth the pain for great finish route, felt like a real epic playdate????
  6. yes having same issue with results on the Epic app, maybe Eiskom’s fault????
  7. This is what is on the road, looks like metal drill shrapnel? This is what is on the road, looks like metal drill shrapnel?
  8. While not detracting from the great analysis, based on this criteria, the lazy Epic route planners could make 2020 up & down the Tokai mast all day, that way they can have a full service retail centre in the carpark and claim most climbing ever! The excitement/fear factor of the Epic was the unknown factor of the route, clearly it is now all about the “altitude” and dollars! Time will tell?
  9. Unbelievable email, arrogant big brother company, given the upper limit is only 30000 points pa which if you on weekly goal of 1200 is only 25 weeks...clearly they just looking to irritate their active clients!
  10. Lost pair of Adidas photochromic sunglasses on Friday morning 3/3 somewhere along the trails in Kirstenbosch, Rhodes drive, Southern Cross drive Thanks Michael 0834562227
  11. Well done for all the hard work to connect trails and upgrade, great local alternative, just bought a bell, No1 request from all walkers!
  12. Great race organization, and a real challenge, especially if you not in Epic shape! Was interested to see the "Doping Control" room looking very empty, wondered if any details how many riders were actually tested, and does it take 12 months for results to be known as in the case of Yolande de Villiers?
  13. RESULT.....! https://www.saseeding.org/participants/event-results/ashburton-1-2016-01-30
