The lone tandem rider was Peter Barber, who lost his stoker after about 15km and then rode the next 185km by himself. He hung in there and finished with the rest of the SWT tandem team in 6h06. Much respect!!!

Yeah - I heard. He has had such bad luck with this race - I think that is 3 bad crashes in 3 years now. Hope he is ok. That was me that got taken out by Cobus in the sprint. Someone could have told me the dude was accident prone...
