  1. Popped into a general trader in Tarkastad this holiday. He had his original dikwiel delivery bike on the floor. Not for sale as it's included in the shop which he is selling. Had an original Brooks Raleigh spring saddle. Very cool. Owner was very knowledgable. Unfortunately cant remember the shop name.
  2. I wear a helmet. I encourage my kids to wear a helmet. I however don't have any problems with people who choose not to unless you're doing an event or riding a trail centre where that's the policy. I'm more worried about my kids swinging on the jungle gym monkey bars than riding their bikes on a path.
  3. I have had right abdominals removed so my whole body is out of tilt. My main pain is in the right SI joint with deferred pain to the right hip/pelvis. I saw my surgeon about this recently as I thought my mesh might be detatching which he confirmed was not the case but rather nerve pain. I spent 2 weeks on Celebrex which seems to have helped and reduced the pain in the SI and hip. There is however a new dull pain in the lower sacral spine but I now have more mobility. I work with a pilates instructor doing stretching exercises and what I have found is that some stiffness/pain/nervous reaction is on the weaker side and other times on the compensatory side. Doubt it has any relevance but hope you come right.
  4. I'm sure you could modify a Hope V-Twin brake to run both off one cable.
  5. Have a pair of slicks you are welcome to have. PM me and you can collect in Randburg on Wednesday.
  6. If you don't come right speak to the guys at intltrade.co.za They are the agents for FSA who make a large range of adapters.
  7. intltrade.co.za will have everything you need to build your own wheels.
  8. Because staging an event takes a lot of work generating little income. Building that course is serious pt and you only have a small number of riders who can ride the course at one time. Much easier to throw 500 plus riders onto a dirt road marathon.
  9. Dealt with them a week ago. Oregon 300 had batteries melt inside. Couldnt repair so I was charged R1600 for a new Oregon 600. Oregon was 4 years old, no questions asked, no paperwork required.
  10. Don't overdo your bike maintenance. Clean your drivetrain and lube, check bike for any damage or excessive wear but don't tinker.

    Which brakes?

Have a look at Hope brakes too.
  12. Andrew, was there any insinuation that you were being sold a "grey" article that had bypassed official channels?
  13. A refund is one thing. They have actually broken the law so will have to answer to authorities other than the OP and other clients. If Pinarello are suing them I fear that the OPs rants are the least of their problems. SARS might be knocking on their door too. Kind of like an hour penalty for cutting 5 metres.
  14. Great pump but with the increased volume it struggles to reach high pressures so it is as intended to be a mtb specific pump. Tried to pump a mates wheelchair tyres to 9 bar and really struggled.
