  1. I have not read this forum thoroughly, so if this has come up already I apologize. But as someone who is very actively buying and selling through the classifieds I am extremely cautious with either or. If the Hub had to take on a system such as bid or buy. Where users had to validate themselves as sellers AND buyers we would feel a lot more at ease. Can you imagine putting your bike on auction via the Hub? Shops and distributors could also create Profiles getting rid of old stock... And the hub could make a bit of a service fee. Validating your profile would ultimately let buyers and sellers know that the hub has all your information and would cancel out a large portion of scepticism when buying or selling. No banking details would need to be exchanged as the Hub would have all information already, it could even work off of paypal. Anyway... Just a thought.
  2. Hi If you see yourself mainly going in to triathlon then Tri Bike is the best option. If you see yourself doing a triathlon every now and again and focus mainly on road racing then a conventional road bike is perfect. If you can get yourself a Kestrel Talon. Its frame geometry allows for either type of cycling. There is on going on the hub currently. Should you want to use it as a road bike you would simply need to change the flight deck. This is the link to the ad: https://www.bikehub.co.za/classifieds/176267-2014-kestrel-talon-tt-bike-full-carbon/
  3. Fabes Huawei run on android OS so you will definitely be able to download it. Go to this page on your tablet and just follow the instructions. When its up and running ill explain how to watch supersport for free. http://kodi.tv/download/
  4. Here I found it... all superspsort channels in HD http://xbmc.za.org/
  5. Have you figured out where any SA sport channels are hidden?
  6. As I am sure you are aware, NF has just launched in SA. However it doesn't exactly have the full range that America does. What I am about to show you is a program you can install on to your pc, or buy yourself a MINIX smart box (which I will explain later) and load the app on to your smartbox and enter a world of free TV. It is NF on steroids. There are live TV options you can watch (depending on your net speed) in HD for free. Its name is KODI aka XBMC. It is extremely complex to set up, but I will supply you with a step by step installation process, I promise... it is worth it. I have been using it for about a year now. All I advise you to do then is to just play around with it and get used to the way it works. When you have it setup and running you will be able to watch any series (from season 1 to the latest) and quite literally any movie you could think of. The way it works is you install TV ad-ons to KODI and in those ad-ons is all the entertainment you could ever need and more. So to download it visit: http://kodi.tv/ Step by step video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XeZr_SibuUY Or an everything you need to know walkthrough: http://mymediaexperience.com/xbmc-guide/ To check out the Minix smart box (turns your tv into smart TV) visit: http://www.minix.us/ and to buy it: http://www.takealot.com/seller/boosh?sellers=9820 I have no affiliation to any of this. I am just introducing you to a much cost effective way of watching TV. Enjoy.
  7. Cyclelab fourways also stock them. Im wearing the road version in my pp.
  8. They are still on the 2016 calendar... 23rd - 24th April 2016
  9. Completely agree with you here... There is a reason its called a tribike. Going for the full IM you will definitely want and need a tribike... Sitting up for 180km is not going to do your legs justice! I have both and I honestly never use my road bike... A road bike can always be another project in the future. Also, send me your sizing and what kind of budget you have to work with I have a few options for you.
  10. Here is my 2c.(have not read all the posts so if this has been mentioned I apologize). A big pull towards races is not only what you get out of the race itself, but what you actually get for completing it. Trophy, prize money or even a pair of socks... (That actually happened to me once). I also feel like South Africa needs a half/full race where there is no pro field (Forgive me if there is already). Where everyone is equal and when the gun goes off you are literally racing the best. That may just be a strong pull for all the top age groupers around SA. In PE, a sprint distance event was started this year called Tri-A-Fun, no pro category... Everyone was an equal and if you were good enough, you could beat a pro or two. For the top age groupers that is very appealing. Then going back to the Prizes, Tri-A-Fun was such a success because it was supported by a few local companies. The top 3 in each age group went away with an awesome prize. Nutrition, shoes, someone even won 10kgs of calamari.... That is the way triathlon used to be, there was actually something else, other than a pat on the back when you won your age cat. Sponsors make a race.
