  1. Should work with any Visa / master card... In theory anyway. Personally I have never managed to make a successful buy through PSN as there's always some or other issue when it comes time to checkout. As a workaround I buy PSN store vouchers from egifts24.co.za and top the wallet up in PSN that way. Works really well, they also do Raru vouchers, Xbox live etc... and there's an option for eft too.
  2. Along with the sound design and shooting / gameplay mechanics in FC5 - Im loving the humour & random comments from the characters. Hurc and Sharky partnered up as allies for the win! Also enjoying how the map / missions unlock through exploration vs a million random icons to pick through on the map.So many different kinds of stuff to do, never gets boring. i'm about 3/4 through the last territory on PS4... game kicks ass - no doubt.
  3. Still think this is the of the coolest ‘nago paintjobs....
  4. Awesome ride by the sky rider. Off the back when the break went, dragged himself back only to catch at the bottom of the muur and get dropped again.... and still sneak a second place. Beast. The fav GVA not even in the top 10 after all that... lekker sneaky top 5 from Gilbert though
  5. With Zarco eye-balling Rossi’s factory spot in the future I am sure he would tell them any bike they give him to ride is awesome Nah, was just pulling the p*ss... I think Zarco is a fantastic rider and I am hoping he is gonna crack a win or two this year for sure. He's always been pretty smooth .... maybe helps him get on with the tyres a bit better than the factory guys did before? As for MV, I dont think he’ll stop whinging until they change the casing in the front tyre back to how it was in pre - season last yr... the ou needs to htfu and get on with it for sure. If JL99 can learn to ride a duc in one season, he can learn a new tyre surely. Maybe Maverick is just bleak that Zarco is stealing his thunder Bring on the 18th!
  6. Conspiracy theory.... Lin Jarvis told him the tech 3 boys have to swop their machines for the crappy M1’s the factory guys were stuck with last year.
  7. “We’ve been offered a deal, that includes something we’ve been waiting for almost since we started with Tech3 and I couldn’t say no.” Wonder if they are looking towards becoming a factory team in 2019... a new manufacturer in the paddock next season?
  8. For me the trick to faster times is to get used to riding for longer periods closer to threshold and being able to hang on when things surge for those 2-3 mins. Sweetspot workouts, VO2 max etc... get your body and heart used to going full gas. Even if it is only for short bursts at first. Picking a couple of segments on your training routes and trying to attack them harder / improve your times also helps a lot.
  9. There have been some threads / rumours of a slightly updated c60.... the c64. Apparently a less radical update like the V1-r to the V2-r was, than say c59 to c60. Perhaps a c60 meets V2-r hybrid? I remember reading somewhere that Giant may be involved too... time will tell though I ‘spose. http://weightweenies.starbike.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=149258 https://bournemouthcyclist.co.uk/2018/01/13/colnago-c64-coming/ http://weightweenies.starbike.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=149360
  10. Hi All Over the last few months I have been busy with a little side project involving a blog called Simpler Cycling, where i have been writing about well, stuff about cycling. I am passionate about everything cycling and would like to think I am a pretty good researcher. I have a teaching background and the idea behind the blog was to create a platform where I could combine them all and help spread the knowledge to help inform / teach other cyclists some of the stuff I have learnt over the years. I have made a point of writing the articles in a conversational, lighthearted style that cuts to the point and is designed to make some of this complicated stuff easy to understand for cyclists at any level. The motivation to get started came mostly from riding buddies and members of the cycling club up here in JHB who have been pushing me to get writing for the longest time. I have written about 10 articles so far and I have been kind of “testing” the content on those closest to me. So to get to the point…. My father in Law, Werner Voigt, passed away on 2 Jan 2018 after 20 days in the ICU at Milpark in JHB, he was on full life support for most of the time. He died from multiple Organ Failure as a result of Congestive heart failure amongst many other complications. He was due to turn 70 in June 2018. He moved here from Germany in the early 70’s and his wife Evelyn (my wife’s mother) died when my wife was less than a year old (40 years ago - don’t tell her I put that up here!). He raised my wife on his own and they were very close. There are no siblings or surviving family members, other than my wife and I. As I hope you can understand, 20 days in the ICU, including an op to remove his colon and a funeral to try and organise has left me with an expensive problem to try and deal with that is far beyond anything we are able to cope with. What I have done over the last few nights is to compile a 55 page E book that features a collection of the best articles from the blog so far related to training, getting faster and understanding a bit more about your bike. I am giving the E book away for free, and all I ask is that if you found it useful to offer a donation, however small, so we can at a minimum try and get the old man buried as soon as possible and maybe make a dent in some of these bills. If you aren’t willing to donate, If you could at least give the twitter or facebook page a like and help spread the word. Or if you could send through some comments / ideas for future articles it would be appreciated. I don't mind if you share / distribute copies of the Ebook. I don’t need to know who you are if you decide to contribute and have a spare savings account setup with Capitec that I want to use for the fundraising. MR C DE WET Capitec 1426808214 B Code 470010 Thanks for taking the time to read. I hope you enjoy the blog / Ebook and it helps make a difference to your cycling! Regards Chris simplercycling@gmail.com / www.simplercycling.wordpress.com / www.twitter.com/simplercycling / www.facebook.com/simplercycling Here is the PDF / Ebook - no special e readers, passwords or anything required - 1.9Mb / 55 pages Simpler Cycling Stage 1 - A collection of articles to help make you faster on your bike.pdf Below is a list of the articles included in the Ebook... Why you aren't getting any faster - and the first steps to doing something about it Getting in the zone - the basics of adding structure to your riding and using a heart rate monitor Making sense of your sensors - Choosing a head unit, Bluetooth / ANT+ and gathering data The simpler guide to training with power - The ultimate upgrade for your cycling Listen to your lungs - breathing on the bike made simpler Training indoors - the smart way Spin it to win it - Get to grips with gearing and consider your cadence The right tool for the job - Buying yourself a new bike Pedal power - Choosing a pedal / shoe system
  11. What kind of bikerack do you use for transporting the bike in question? I am with the others here that this is from getting clamped somehow or possibly dinged by something during transport.
  12. You can take your avg hrmax % from the workout and multiply by the duration in hrs... eg 3.5 hrs @ 80% of max will give TSS of 280. Its not 100% accurate as using the powermeter, but its close. You may wanna check this out as well... https://www.trainingpeaks.com/blog/estimating-training-stress-score-tss/
  13. Pick whichever one will make you want to ride it more than 1-2 times a week - that will make you faster. Personally, I would go Scultura and toss the compact out in exchange for a 52x36/39... But only ‘cos if I had an aero bike - I’d be thinking of dudes in speedos and Ironman tattoos every time I saw it and prob wouldn’t wanna ride it.
  14. Bit late to the party, but sheesh that came out purdy! Hope she’s treating you well.
