  1. Des Latham is awesome, his History of South Africa podcast is very informative
  2. Buy a farm and live there, but let the farm to an established farmer, is what I'd suggest. As my 60th approaches, I'm heading that way. You get the lifestyle, but not the stress. My newest expense is security, I'm paying R6200 a month for armed security.
  3. I had a lekker perculated(prut?) coffee this morning, reminded me of our chats. I'll have a beer in his memory tonight
  4. Does anyone have a link to track RTC and RTW? edit already had it on my PC https://rtwrtc2020.maprogress.com/
  5. I've thought of replacing the Yeti with a newer shorter travel bike, but then I ride a cool flowing trail with some rocks and remember why I bought it in the first place. I've got a 29" hard tail and it suits me for the more gravel rides, so why replace
  6. Thanks guys, been looking for the Tracker. Got 2 mates doing the Race To Paarl this year, Blanket wearer Erik Egeland and JG Wardle, a legend in his own mind from Cathcart, Thomas River MTB trail boss.
  7. Geez, Monark, talk about thread necro, next time get hold of me, by PM, or Wil6, and we'll be happy to help. I'm not active on the forum anymore. Hope you had great rides, because it's absolutely safe, unless you get waylaid by your riding partners and end up in one of the pubs, then your other half may assault you
  8. Pleased you know about this, thought of you and T. Be careful
  9. A mates got a vacancy in his B&B

  11. Deanbean takes a dive, if you are going to keep using that pic, I DEMAND FREE ENTRIES, the beers are free already so can't demand that edit, and I rode in flats this year so that there was no repeat
  12. Let me know if you need any help in Stutt Fanie. Got fomo
  13. Mike Rowe's "The way I heard it" is excellent. Try to work out who or what he is talking about before the end. All between 5&7 min long.
