  1. Old hand planers. Free to someone who is interested. Randburg based (Ferndale) Must collect. PM if you are interested
  2. Hi all Is this product available locally
  3. What parts are you looking for? I might have some spares
  4. Around here we call them Ystervark tires! They have so many snot-stokkies them, like quills from a Porcupine Not to worry, a proper plug can last a long time. Or you can leave the thorns in and take a gamble. Hope you have tubeless tires
  5. The upper part of the track has many loose sandy sections, which I did not enjoy. The bottom part is way better, with fast flowing single track and corners. It was around 28km with 100m elevation There are some serious thorns there. I removed around 5 which was about 2cm in length
  6. Received my rear wheel from Lyne components. Fitted first time like a glove. Good service from them
  7. Thanks Judging by this drawing, I'm not sure it will work. How did you damage your rim?
  8. Hi Hubbers Can a loose Mavic crossmax ST rear hub ratchet ring be repaired? The ratchet ring turns inside the hub. My rant I purchased these wheels from a fellow hubber (DevonHolmes) a while a go for a future bike build. Well the time arrived approx 4 weeks ago The rear wheel was sold without a free hub. Then it arrives without a rear axle too! He did not know what the difference is between a freehub and axle. Long story - short, ordered all the parts required to complete the wheel from Mavic (R 2,800), only to find the ratchet ring inside the hub is loose. I did give him an opportunity to respond, maar hy is nou soos mis voor son! Passop vir Mnr Devon Holmes
  9. Thanks for that! My Bad, i needed to say boost hubs, not rims. Understanding woman would be easier that getting a set of non boost wheels, 15mm front through axle with 140mm rear with QR adaptors. I'm from the great North, was in JHB over 2 weeks ago. Went to 7 cycling shops to buy wheels, no one has stock. Fitting a micro spline or XD driver is like asking for the correct lotto numbers! Another Tool that was impossible to find in all the shops was a freaking Vernier to measure axle length. The "mega" shop also sold me a used shimano RD, for the price of a new one off coarse.
  10. Hi Hubbers Is there any cyclists here that has knowledge on rear rim options for a NON boost Cannondale hardtail FSi frame (QR) I recently purchased a new set STANS rims from some "mega" store in PTA. Long story short, they send me the boost version. I was told that Cannondale can only use specific rims that are dished to one side? Is this true? So it should be an A-symmetrical setup? Thanks
