  1. What I despise about DSTV is that they force you to get the premium package in order to watch the Afrikaans channels and sports like rugby and cricket - so they seem to be targeting a certain segment of the market. Once you get over that I feel there is some great value to be had. For R220 a month extra we can watch on 3 TV's simultaneously - without considering streaming which I also use - without limit or interference. So whilst my mom is content watching her soaps, we can choose what we watch on our side and there is a huge variety of sport (too much actually) to choose from. Anything from rugby (International, URC, Champions Cup, Currie Cup, Varsity Cup, Supersport Schools, etc.), cricket (International tests, ODI's and T20, SA20, IPL, etc.), athletics (Diamond League, marathons, etc.), cycling (lots!), soccer (lots...) and a variety of others. There really isn't anywhere else that you have this variety so easily accessible.
  2. Yeah, I've switched off the notifications, so not that annoying. Biggest worry is that the wife knows exactly where I am at all times...🤔
  3. Best app for tracking is Life360. Our whole family has it installed on various Samsung and Apple phones.
  4. I've got the TRI (blue) one and have replace the battery several times without any issues. Might be worth a tri - pun intended...
  5. The 70.3, would have been a LOT more worried if it was the full. Planning to do that in 2024 - the year I turn 50!
  6. Same here except for the stomach cramps - so I guess it could have been worse... I was the only one in my family that felt like this though - even my 80 year old unfit Mom had no symptoms other than a bit of a sore arm!
  7. When we did Transbaviaans, I had one of the Extremelight lights, whilst my partners had various other ones. We ended up riding with only my one still working, so yeah, another vote for Extremelights.
  8. Sho, ek was nog nooit so geraak deur iemand wat ek net deur die internet ken nie - wat 'n moeilike pad met soveel waardigheid geloop het. Rus in vrede en baie sterkte vir die wat agterbly.
  9. He didn't want to be forced to take the knee... Edit: Somehow I didn't see you replied to yourself.
  10. I tip my hat to you dear sir - for completing the race, but also for the way you managed to capture the experience.
  11. Thanks for the heads-up - jumped right on that deal. Glad I didn't miss it...
  12. This might be the most balanced and well explained comment I've read on this here BikeHub.
