When you see people pushing up Dead Mans Tree in the prologue... and you see quite a few, then you know it is going to be a very long (or short) week for them. The race dynamic has changed in my view. The entry fee now ultimately only allows for the execs or big corporate sponsored riders (in many cases fat cat clients) to ride it. Training and preperation is not always properly in place... many of these riders are destined to fail, but still they rock up. Money cannot buy you a finish in the Cape Epic.

I promise, the scenery makes up for it!

Hi guys... Spotted a guy walking with a red and black Scott Spark. Bike is Alu from what i could see and had fancy front and back lights fitted. Had a black helmet with him too. Not accusing him but the situarion seemed fishy. He could not tell me what parts the bike had and he "uses it for transport". Contact me should you know of a bike like this stolen today or recently. I know the premises he took it in.

I know the rules and prizes are set out from the beginning... however, it is a bit silly and sad that "Sanmarie's Team" and "Ketotte" who ended up in the top three, walks away with nothing.

Im not a fan of him... for other reasons. Two nights ago he claimed on a Belgian tv show that he is focused on Paris and feeling very strong. Now this. However, Im not naive, so I think there were pressure put on him from British cycling to exit. It is a Olympic year... so I guess even the TDF has to take a backstep.

Hi all.... Im looking to join a long (±100km) road ride tomorrow am. I am in CPT so can join in the city bowl or nearby. Im not that keen on heading out by myself. I can average 25-28kmph. If anybody is heading out and happy to let me join please let me know. Jaco

Hi guys, I would like to join your ride tomorrow. Ive just bought my first roadbike, and would like to go ride with a group of riders on its maiden voyage. Those wheels are DUN and quite frankly scares me! Im a mountainbiker and would be good for the distance on knobblies so I trust I can do this! If not, I can always turn around! Ill stay out of the photos, no worries! ; )

Last throw of the dice... I still would appreciate to tag along with someone or a group this wkend for a MTB ride in and about CPT. Looking to do a solid honest ride of 3-5hours! Not afraid of climbing or technical stuff.... please let me know! Thanks!
