Guys. I need to get my 8 year old son a new cycling shirt. Where do I find one that doesn’t cost R600 or more. I can’t justify spending that amount on a shirt for him. Ideally looking for one going for about R200. Any help is appreciated.

Hi guys. I have never even tried on a full face helmet, but as I am getting more adventurous in my riding, I need to get one. Where is a good place around Joburg to try on a few different makes and models to find a good fit and see the differences between the various options?

Just received my new W2W cycling jersey which was posted to me. Sizing of shirts and jackets was a bit of a stuff up. Thanks so much to the organizers for following up on this and sending better sized shirt.

I have managed to get into the Ride this year. It's my 1st stage race where I fly to the event. Any recommendations on getting myself and bike from CPT airport to the start and back? Uber, shuttle service, bike couriers, etc?

I did about 200kms on a Spez Phenom test saddle before I went and bought one. You pay about R800 to take the test saddle and get refunded when you return it, or it gets credited against the purchase of a new one.

I have a Jurgens 670 trailer and had the Freeride 532 system fitted by Rack n Road in Woodmead a year ago. I am sure I could have done it myself quite easily. They used false gutters which bolted through the trailer lid and then normal roof rack bars and feet to fit onto the gutters. Parts used were: TA542: Gutters TR369: Footpack TR769: Bars TBC532: Bike carrier Sorry I don't have a pic at the moment.

I clipped a rock with my peddle on the open grasslands only 6km into the 50km race. Ended up going over the bars and fracturing 2 bones in my wrist. I sent an SMS to to number on the SAS board hoping they could pick me up. After 30 mins there was no response. I walked / rode one handed back to the finish which was another 6kms. When I got there I could not find any medics, even after speaking to one of the officials sitting at the finish line. Searched for about 20 minutes before giving up and driving myself home and to hospital. After my surgery I will be complaining to the organisers. Oh, I got a response to my SMS about 2 hours later saying "No Medical Details for SAS Number". Poor form there. What if I was critically injured. But otherwise a nice event and good course, well at least the few Km's that I saw.

This will be my 2nd ever race, having done the 30 km event at Babba's in December. I am having a go at the 50km ride this time. A little bit of congestion might be exactly what I need to prevent myself from going out too fast. Can anyone advise what I can expect in terms of water points. I am not sure that my 2l camelbak & 1 water bottle will be enough for this distance. I will need to restock on the hydration at least once along the way.

Hi guys I am going to be down in Park Rynie on the KZN South Coast next week. Does anyone know any safe trails that I could do by myself. I have only been riding for 6 months, so I don't want anything too technical. Any suggestions welcome, but I don't want to have to travel to get there.

I'm keen to join in, but i am fairly new to this, so we'll see how we go.
