  1. I used to ride for my sanity since losing my son. Now I cannot ride willy nilly now as I have also lost my Soulmate. (Follow link for full story) https://www.backabuddy.co.za/jd-koekemoer2021 If you are able to help, Thank you. If not, please pass on, share, anything. If you can offer me gainful employment in the Midrand area, even better. In the mean time, yes it is possible to stress during sheer heartbreak. Thank you for your time. JD
  2. My heartfelt thanks goes to the two guys in the cycling community that offered help. You guys are stars in my book, and showed compassion that I am most grateful for. Perhaps I put the post on the wrong forum topic, as the response has been so low. Can perhaps Admin pin this post for me for more exposure?

  4. Please see my Update, and thanks for your offer.
  5. Good day to all those that read my post and replied or offered assistance to it. I tried to delete the thread, but couldn't find how to do it. Anyway an UPDATE to the story. I even turned my grad daughters room upside down this morning, they were happy as I put the double bunk back together for them. But I found nothing, I went back into my room and redid the search again. Would you believe that I finally found it tucked away at the bottom of one of the boxes. So huge relief there. Thank you once again to everyone for hearing my story out. I appreciate every single one of you chaps out there.
  6. Thank you for your reply.
  7. Good day, I am in need of a Shockpump. As I'm unemployed, and now a full time dad to my two grand daughters (One who thought my Shockpump looked like a nice toy to remove and lose) which I now cannot find, despite turning the room upside down. I do 90% of my own repairs, even home repaired a cracked carbon frame, and yes, two years later it is still holding (Touch Wood) so I am looking for a 2nd hand pump to replace my lost one. Please, not too expensive, very tight budget and cycling keeps me sane. Thank you in Advance.
  8. GROENKLOOF Yesterday morning I was attacked by 3 BM's armed with knives within the reserve. Thankfully they didn't take my bike, but took everything else I had.

  10. Anywhere where I will be able to keep an eye on the trailer behind me, without breaking my neck. Not as young as I once was, so constant head turning lets me suffer a few days after. So yeah, something on the end of the bars would be ideal. I have tried Cycle Lab, and Solomons, and they don't have. So soucing a 2nd hand one is my next option.
  11. Read those, didn't see anything about Rearview Mirrors .....
  12. Good Day fellow beings I am looking for a Rear View Mirror to fit to my MTB. Reason: I am looking after my Granddaughters (3 and 1 yr) and as you all know, riding is my sanity and it took a back seat for a while, so now I have a trailer to put them in, my problem is that I hardly feel that they are there and I have to keep looking behind me to make sure. My neck hurts like hell that I can hardly move for a few days after. I will really appreciate any help, or pointing me in the right direction. I am in the Midrand area. Thanking you all in advance. JD
  13. Good morning, I'm looking for "Child" helmets
  14. Good day gents My cycling has almost come to a complete halt as we have taken on looking after our Grand daughters (Tough job I tell you) Anyway lets not dilly dally, I have managed to find a Master Kids Trailer, but it is missing the Hitch that fits to the bike. Does anyone have anything similar to the pic attached. Then I will be able to ride again, and introduce our grand babies to the wonderful world of outdoors, albeit that I will be doing all the hard work. Many thanks JD
