  1. Rumour has it The Glen might receive a dumbed-down makeover for the 2018 Cape Epic prologue? Can anyone confirm this? This year's Epic saw unskilled riders at Hoogekraal Gorge Trail hurt themselves badly and if you compare The Gorge to The Glen the wipeouts will be far worse if The Glen is not dumbed-down. Cape Epic, please refrain from dumbing down and ruining a spectacular gem of a trail. One prologue is not worth destroying something that’s been rad for years. Keep your riders safe and rather consider diverting them down the tarmac.
  2. Way to laugh at a brother in his mourning period dude. #teampurecabbage is the worst - You guys are the epitome of a lame wannabe "pro" cycling team. You try too hard. Please stop. Everyone is getting sick of it. Jewbacca I really hope you get the bike back and/or find a worthy replacement.
  3. First photo, bottom right, Tristan remounting after his wipeout. Glorious.
  4. Hahahaha! This thread! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It is winning.
  5. Best weekend I spent riding my bike, kuiering with like-minded bike riding fools and riding my bike. Thanks guys for putting it all together. PS. Keep the invite open, keep the description of the event scary (true to what it is), keep the stages gnarly and/or make them harder and, if I may, cap the amount of entries. This sort of thing will loose its majic if it goes over 60 riders. #justsaying. The weekend felt like a tightly knit family wedding. Net 'n klomp mooi mense.
  6. I own one of these and I can honestly say one need not have another bike - One bike to rule them all! > XC > Long distance races > Enduro / AM > Techy Rock Gardens > Loose gravel > Loam > Mud > Sand > DH / Helderberg Mexican Border > Hiking Trails > The Other Woman > DJ > The list continues... I equipped mine with a dropper and a wider riser bar and it was good to go. And sure, if you are a weight weenie and enjoy riding your carbon 29 x 2.0 mountain bike on the road then this bike is not for you. Choose fun over efficiency. Choose PLUS.
  7. Woman riding bikes and drinking beers. Amazing.
  8. I can vouch for the Contour Dropper Post. Been using it for 4 months now and it works brilliantly! Do yourself a favor guys!
  9. Mountain Bike Technical Descent : Bottom-half of New Jonkers Black Trail. Rock gardens for days!
  10. This might not be for everyone, but it is worth considering. I recently started wearing MR PRICE padded cycling shorts (queue ridicule and doubt in this post) paired with Columbia outdoor shorts (basically like boardies). See links below: http://www.mrpsport.com/en_za/jump/MENS/CYCLING-SHORT/productDetail/7_1405710003/cat1240051/general http://www.columbiasportswear.co.za/snake-river-water-short-35118.html Pros: - Super comfortable - Durable, i.e, not precious, no graphics, zipps or white colours and any frilly bits that get screwed up after riding and washing (My Indola Enduro shorts started fading and tearing after 4 months of riding). - Worked out to be R650. New stock One Industries, Dakine and Fox can go over to be like R1200 per short. I went and bought another set after I was blown away at how well the odd-combo worked (2 x sets of MTB shorts for R1300) Cons: They're not One Industries, Dakine or Fox but no one will notice. See attached pic. Hope this potentially helps.
  11. This is awesome! Hardtails shredding at Enduro Events makes me happy . No need wasting money on Fullsus bikes to enjoy the trails.
