I’ve done both the Sedge500 and Burra500 and found them both great experiences. I only got 300km into sedge. I wish there were more events like these, low cost for plenty riding and plenty stories on the finish line. Could you do it yourself on a Tuesday, yes. Have you? No. Would I have if it wasn’t an event…No. That’s the big difference, enter and pay and you in the chute, sitting at home and saying you could do it for free, you’ll probably never do it.

I use a led lensor torch and mount it with an adapotor (there's a few). Works amazingly and you get multiple uses for the tourch (ie hiking, game viewing). It's also lighter than a big battery pack. Looking at getting new rims, either ID 30 or ID36. But leaning towards ID30. Ja the objective is to run super low pressures with a rigid fork.

Hello, Looking to build a bikepacking rig and want to fit 29 x 2.8 or 29 x 3.0 fast rolling tyres. I've searched the interwebs and can't find a place to source such tyres? Any advice? Maybe fat bike tyres? Thanks
