  1. Hi Guys. I am new to all of this, busy downloading zwift and setting up. Just waiting on my unit to arrive, hopefully next week. Look forward to drafting behind the president...
  2. A Weekend we will forever remember. I have done multiple events and stage races over the last four years, but never had so much fun. Sharing my two passions with like minded people made for unforgettable memories and plenty new friends. Go and LIKE Weskus Fat Bike and stay up to date with whats happening.! Thanks to Craig Kolesky and his crew for this amazing experience. 10/10
  3. Hahaha No worries Meent If you want to remake those decals for the hollowgram arms let me know and we could do it at a reduced price due to a remake. Keen to see photos please.
  4. @Meentb I find that strange. I have applied many crank decals before and never had issues. Yes it is a very thick decal and its so for a reason, to protect you crank against impacts on rocks. It is very important to clean the crank with a non oil based cleaner, methelated spirits works best. And then using a hair drier or careful use of a heatgun to manipulate the decal to the shape. It has tremendous adhesive and I know guys who has been using the same product for over two years now. You are welcome to contact me to sort the problem out.
  5. I have definitely learned my lesson and payed my school fees. Thanks to everyone's comments and opinions. Happy riding to you all.
  6. Super keen to do this event next year. Just need to get the trail bike up and running, recon i'll have more fun around the fire at night. Looks like a great mission. Great article and AMAZING photos @EwaldSadie
  7. Much less hassle @ditypot. anyone buying from @avalanx just be warned!
  8. Hi Guys Thanks to everyone's response. Sorry I've been offline for quite some time. No my LBS definitely did not see a opportunity to make money of it as we have a long history. Both of them have qualified wheel builders, and I eventually took the rear wheel to get a 3rd opinion, and guess what.....exactly the same response. As I originally stated, the seller made it crystal clear to me that the visible dent has NO effect on the wheel. @avalanx I have spent R3 000 to get the entire wheel re-built by Louis Brestler Knipe, new crosmax hoop from Mavic and complete build. Anyone here is welcome to phone Louis Knipe from Knipe Racing to get clarity as to the condition the wheel was in. I suspect the seller was using the wheel right up to the sale to get his backside massaged if you ask me. And BTW dude if you want to be sworn at and harassed pleas come visit me, then we'll talk again.
  9. Hi Guys I would like to APOLOGIZE to everyone who experienced bad service or a lack thereof. a Couple of weeks ago I suffered a tremendous setback and its been hell trying to recover from it. I never had any intention to deliver a bad service. Otero, DirtyPot, DJ Juice and the rest who considered making use of my services, please accept my humble apology. I am trying to respond to as much old msgs and mails as possible but if you do not hear from me you are welcome to send a email to dirtapparelstore@gmail.com for a remake or full refund. Regards Gys
  10. Alan D Yeah it's tough school fees that as I've been waiting more than a year to buy a decent 2nd hand wheelset. How do I go about to name and shame? Also would like to make sure his rating get affected as I'd hate to hear this happen to any of you guys on here.
  11. At 1st I though it was the tyre as I had a plug in the middle of the running surface, but then after taking the tyre off and putting the wheel on a 'wheel truing machine" both machanincs said the rear rim is completely f*ckd!! Just got it back yesterday after getting it rebuild with a brand new rim from Mavic.
  12. @lets make MTB Gr8 again. After almost 3 weeks of mails between myself and wheel builders I've decided to do just that. Louis from Knipe Racing helped me out with a new rim and build, R2 500 later so now I'm ready to NAME and SHAME, how do I go about doing so? I've got all our conversations, and also had Matt from TheHub pull up he's add on the wheels where it clearly stated it's bombproof and nothing about a massive defect on the rear rim.
  13. That's what I cant understand. Just spent R2 500 on a new rim and rebuild on the rear wheel with Louis from Knipe Racing.
  14. Hi Guys I recently bought a set of wheels from a guy who advertised them on the HUB. Not being a professional wheel builder I tried to asses the wheels for anything strange on them after I met the seller with the wheels. After some inspection I noticed a small dent on the rear wheel, I made it clear to the seller and he looked me in the eye saying that it has no effect on the wheel or the tubeless ability of it. Taking his word for it (*stupid of me I know*) I bought the wheels and fitted them to my bike, not long into my 1st ride I noticed a bump coming from the back, I then went off the trail and onto some smooth tar road, here the bump was very noticeable. After have the back wheel assessed by two LBS's in my area, It comes down to a bust rear wheel due to a massive flat-spot on it. The seller however refuses to accept that he sold me a busted wheel-set, and refund me or replace the rear wheel. And says I can take him to court if I want my money back. WHAT SHOULD I DO?
  15. Thanks for all the great comments gius. And a massive thanks to everyone who has supported us to date. Lurch we apologize for not responding on your PM re sizing. Will check it out on the PC tomorrow. #RideForTheSakeOfIt
