  1. hahaha, you funny okes! Sent it to the agents, bearings gone and the shaft was also bent, hence the vibrations. It is about 10years old, so due for that. Should have it back in a couple of days, hope it will be smooth again
  2. Thanks These are aluminium drum rollers, and I managed to track down the agent. Seems like the bearing is not seating well in the one rollers, which makes that vibration. They are picking it up next week, service it and will bring back for me. Will keep updated.
  3. Hi all. Just want to get some info. I have rollers that I train on. Suddenly there seems to be a vibration from the back 2 rollers. I thought that my wheel had like a hard part (like a gumball that you get from Stans) in it, but that is not the problem. Tyres etc are fine. So the issue is with the rollers. Anybody that has experienced something similar? I have read that the bearings might have gone...but that might be a bit of a schlep to replace that. Thanks in advance.
  4. Hi, also interested, please send add me to the group 08two four five 7 five 8 double 9
  5. I have a brooks saddle. When I see that it is starting to sag, I just tighten it a bit and Bob's your uncle. Awesome saddles, and when broken in, they are super comfy. YMMV, but I am not a weight weenie.
  6. I stream through MWEB, my ADSL line rental also through them. If telkom buggers up, I call MWEB, and they sort out telkom ASAP. I go through about 150Gb/month, so just make sure that you have enough data. And I have a 4Mb/s line, never has isues
  7. 2nd one for me, first time 5:12, and this time 4:28. The first 10km's were very hard on me, did not get rhythm and only when on R55 did the rhythm come. Obviously weighing 130kgs did not help on the hills (I did not get off and walk, I cycled, even if in granny gear) all the hills, Steyn City included. The flat tyre did not help 20kms from the finish. But I really blasted down the downhills, clocking 90.4km/hr at one point. Will I do it again? Hell Yeah. What will I do next year different? Do races before the time, get a good seeding (went from JJ) and then get stuck in a bunch. When going so late, there are no cohesion, all just doing their own thing. Goal next year would be loose a shitload of kilograms, do lots of hills and come back very strong for a 3:15 time.
  8. I Saw so. When I looked back, I saw quite a lot that was being sucked along in my draft...
  9. Thanks Gerald and all your colleagues for an amazing race. Great job. Was my first race in a very long time. Started in ML, passed the fallen rider (RIP fellow cyclist, condolences to family and friends) and managed to keep up with ML until about 30kms. Thereafter got dropped, but got onto a bunch from NL into that first part into head/crosswind. Rode solo up to waterpoint 2, then nailed it through Heidelberg. Headwind was not nice for a buffalo like me (130kgs) as I punch a big hole in the wind, but still managed to cross just past 4hrs. Not as fast as the racing snakes, but given that I 1) finished it, 2) with a massive headwind and 3) in a not to bad time for me, I am quite chuffed. Will definitely do it again next year, great race. Thanks all! Now for 94.7
  10. number collected and updated racechip! Cant wait
  11. can you please describe how the route will be? Cant precisely see from the pic?
  12. Thanks all. Entered for the 103. Really appreciate the advice. See you on the starting line!
  13. Thanks all. Much appreciated! Will go for the 103km! Have a great day!
