  1. Terrible news. Events he was part of had gees like no other! RIP
  2. I think you’ll regret going less than 50! 50mm is the do it all profile depth. What’s equally (if not more) important is getting the correct width. 25mm or maybe even 28mm nowadays. Tubeless is also something to consider. I’ve had tubeless ready rims for years but only ran it tubeless for the first time recently so the verdict is still out on how well it works. But by the looks of what’s happening in the pro peloton, it could become the norm in the future as with mtb.

It was my first Atta and I don’t think we could have asked for better conditions. Beast of a course but one of the most beautiful rides! My preparation was very limited so it was not a race but a fight for survival. Absolutely loved it!
  4. You can get them yes. I got a kit from Cyclelab Lynnwood a couple of weeks back. About R200 for the kit if I remember correctly. Some of these derailleur clutches are not greased properly when it comes out of the factory and the seal on the housing is not the best. Thus needs to be serviced every now and then. If left too long the bearing can corrode from moisture getting in and needs to be replaced, just cleaning and lubing not sufficient.
  5. Will definitely join. Looks like they do fantastic work
  6. First ride in the books! PE weather has been showing off the last couple of days. Baakens Valley looks very promising!
  7. Will give it a shot this week coming ????
  8. Great news that I can access it from Summerstrand side, I’m gonna go on a bit of an explore this weekend there and see how it goes with the help of Garmin heat maps. Will also pm you, would be great to get a tour from a local!!
  9. Thanks will do! Saw that there is another shop at the Start of Baakens Valley, will pop in there as well.
  10. Thanks for the info! Morning rides sound great. Where do these rides start, also from Coimbra?
  11. Thanks! I’ve heard Crossways is great and seems like Baakens Balley is the go to...
  12. Is it safe to ride on your own at all times? And to and from there from Summerstrand area...
  13. So I’ve heard, will have to try it out ASAP!
  14. Hi guys, I have relocated to Summerstrand, PE (Qhebergha!?!) this week and am keen to get riding! I spend most of my time on my MTB but like getting out and joining groups on the road as well for training. Now that I'm in PE I'm basically compelled to do another IM as well in the near future I am looking for suggestions on where to ride, nice training routes and groups that I could potentially join for training rides etc. This will be for weekday and weekend rides. Thanks in advance
  15. Unfortunate the reality we have to live with. Would never expect it going east from Fountains... Glad you’re ok!
