  1. Will Assos now change their tag line to "Sponsor Qhubeka"?
  2. The route was like that for much of last year before they changed it just before the race. So it might just be that the old one got put up again.
  3. And it's official: https://cyclingtips.com/2020/07/chris-froome-to-leave-ineos/

I'm still planning on how I'm going to be sick on Sunday (my week starts then). If it rains I'm not even bothering thinking of an excuse. "Hi sir, yes, it's raining in Roubaix, I'm not coming in."

Nizzolo was their supported rider, think he finished together with Reinie. Was even listed as top 10 riders to watch on Cycling News, but same as the rest of the sprinters didn't make it over the Pogio close enough to the lead pack.
  7. So bleak I can't ride this year, had an absolute blast last year. Those last 40 kays are simultaneously the most difficult and most beautiful moments I have had on a bike. Good luck to those taking on the challenge!
  8. I seem to remember that she raced a couple of World Cup XCO's last year as well, so I also don't understand the comments of people wondering if she would cope with the technical bits.
  9. It's only really the crosswind gusts that get the lighter guys, into a headwind a light guy can help out as well.
  10. It's actually not entirely like that any longer. Flew with my bike 2 years ago, you do rock up to check-in on the day, no need to go a week before. Saying that, I'd rather ship it with one of the transport companies, it's just not worth the hassle of trying to get your bike bag into a Picanto.

Had the privilege of going to the rider sign-in yesterday at the UAE Tour (stage 2). Spoke to the M-S guys and joked that they should've brought Impey with for us Saffas. Basically they said he is currently recovering from Aus and will build up towards a tilt at the Ardennes this year, where they expect he will mixing it with the big boys. So we can start singing "Impey" in April again!
  12. <Off topic> I've only once not seen death stares from the ladies when A caught up. Tour Durban 2017 (I think) we caught up on the descend after uMhlanga, we had two rows going down, men on one side and ladies on the other. Commissaire was going crazy trying to tell us to bugger off while we were all having a fat chat. One of my better memories when it comes to races.
