  1. Oh yeah, sorry about the magpies and possums over there Magpies are sooo annoying this time of year... only a few more weeks to go though!
  2. never buy bike stuff with credit cards, thats just a recipe for disaster. also kids take up too much time and money that could be spent on bikes.
  3. 2.4 contis are a little bit narrower than other 2.4s BUT are very tall tyres. I run them on a 25mm internal rim (Flow EX) which gives them a good profile. I personally wouldn't go any narrower As an aside it is funny how not long ago I used to consider Flow EXs as wide, now they look very narrow compared the i35s I've got on my other bike.
  4. Its like a Range fell out of a tree and hit every branch on the way down. Were the Norco dudes drunk that day?

    Wider bars

Ive got 740 and 760 on my two bikes, and even that small jump I notice the difference... I tend to scrape my knuckles on trees and look awkward going through gates with the latter and its just 10mm either side. Not sure I want to go too much wider, even if it had other advantages
  6. koeksisters I never got into, but this thread has me missing mosbolletjies now. mmmmmm winey bread with butter
  7. Yip, Saguaro is a solid choice that lasts a very long time Maxxis Ardent Race also good (currently using). Next rear will be Maxxis Aggressor to see how that goes - slower than the Ardent race, but a bit more bite which is fine by me
  8. NZ is definitely safer in summer. Less fires and no snakes We've got plenty more sheep in Aus, but in NZ I think you get more per person http://www.weeklytimesnow.com.au/agribusiness/sheep/the-ratio-of-person-to-sheep-in-new-zealand-has-dropped/news-story/1a6dbd5575198cb0e70ccb5c2b857f22 South Africans have been saying it for years!
  9. I've got the 2R MIPS but not with a chin bar. I was just going to buy the chin bar later, but recently been reading that the chin bar isn't that great (and isn't downhill rated if thats a thing for you). Otherwise its a great trail helmet though, nice protection around back of head, but mixed reports if it fits or not - luckily it fits me well when many other helmets don't (661, POC etc I can't wear). I'm probably going to just get a separate full face now, rather than convertible, but will check out the Giro once it hits the stores.
  10. http://14761-presscdn-0-15.pagely.netdna-cdn.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/06/FOCUS-JAM-C-FACTORY.jpg There, I fixed it. Now that will be € 4999
  11. I really want to get a Brooks for my steel frame - and matching grips... Only because they look amazing.
  12. flats flats flats. only downside to flats is that your shins develop a nice set of scars..
