  1. I have tried a few different ones when I need something urgently and my go-to for whatever reason cannot assist, but I always end up back at Specialized Tygerberg. Have found myself in front of them multiple times with bike in the one hand and wheel in the other due to other shops not getting the job done right. Cannot fault their work whether it is something small like topping up the slime in the tyres or a full bike / suspension service. Also know they do not only cater for Specialized.
  2. Agree - the photos is surprisingly different to the actual in this case. Was not a fan of the colour until I saw it through the workshop window at CWC - now a big from me!
  3. I have never actually ridden a bike with slick tires, so take my opinion with a pinch of salt. I never really feel that its my knobby tires holding me back on the bike, especially if I understand correctly that we are in the same boat of being unfit! Personally I feel the effort of changing the tires with all that slime and putting it back afterwards is not worth the few seconds you might gain over the 90 odd k's. Maybe if I were racing for the win I might change my opinion on a few seconds here and there, but at 3:30+ hours in my situation I do not see the need. Rather keep everyting as it is and be sure everything is in order on the morning of the race. It might just be my "bike-OCD" but I do not even like changing waterbottles 2 weeks before a race! Ride what you know and enjoy the race!
  4. Awsome thanks! Thinking of trying it out tomorrow or next weekend
  5. Hi guys, I am relatively new in the area and heard about this suikerbosrand nature reserve literally yesterday. Can someone maybe say how it works to ride there? Entrance fees etc? Also is the road in a road bike condition or would a mtb be better? Coming from vereeniging I would like a bit of info before driving so far.. Thanks
  6. Went down on one of those reflectors in the middel of the road at 103km/h two years ago..a MUST do on anyone's calender!
