  1. In my opinion EPO really starts to kick in in the 3rd week of a grand tour. When your body is starting to fall apart and your hemoglobin levels are starting to decrease, taking EPO will surely help maintain and increase the oxygen carrying capacity of your blood. For these top racers it will most definitely have an effect. Another shortcoming of the test may well be the challenge these subjects were subjected to. Their bodies (muscle, type of muscle and psyche) will falter long before their oxygen carrying capacity of their blood manifests as a measurable advantage. Still an interesting finding/conclusion
  2. Awesome service from these guys! Next day delivery and super competitive pricing - my preferred online shop for drivetrain components.

  4. I've experienced the same recording issue on consecutive rides in Dec. Cleared my activity history and reinstalled software. Sorted (for now)

  6. For tar only applications, I would reckon a 26er is superior or at least on equal terms to the 29er. I've seen a lot of individuals quote the superior rolling resistance characteristics of the 29er and yes I full agree on uneven terrain the 29er is better. Both for clearing obstacles as well as stability at moderate to high speed (bigger wheel circumference bigger gyro). But on tar? the contact patch i.e. area where friction results is much smaller on tar for the 26 thus better!?! Also the wheel as a whole weighs much less! Thus accelerations would require less power? Or have I lost the plot completely?

  8. Water points were seriously below par. Route unimaginative - finding ways not to get us on the single tracks. What a let down!
