  3. Thanks for a great competition! Had fun and I am a lot fitter now. Suggestion if you want to do it again: Why not change the categories into age groups seeing that a guy like Bernie Viljoen is 68 years old and will not be able to buy an entry with his pension money? I respect all the guys and girls who are in the top 50.
  4. Event Name: Tour De Ghaap When: 5 September 2015 - 6 September 2015 Where: Ulco, Northern Cape Category: MTB Stage 1 starts at Ulco Town Hall and finishes on farm Lyfontein. All competitors and guests stay over at Lyfontein and camp out. Stage 2 is a circle route starting and finishing at the farm. A lovely weekend ends after prize-giving and lunch. All information to be found on the website. Go to Event Page
  5. Congrats to the winners, enjoy the experience! This was a cool competition. See you at the next one!
  6. The four winning entries are already taken by us guys (and girl) here and even their partners are sorted, if I follow correctly what was said here. We just don't know exactly the names of the four winners, and of course their partners. But the other 116 entrants can relax now (and go training again).
  7. I would love it if four of us would win and then we select the others as partners. Would love to meet such friendly, witty, action-loving guys and spend four days with you. At least you know that your partner would more or less as fit as you are after all this training. If you win it, enjoy it!
  8. I hope I'll make it a liiiitle bit better for you: It is 1/123 because I think I'll get the one and then 123 will be left. Hahaha!
  9. I bought a Polar H7 HR strap (+-R900) and use it with my Samsung S5 phone. I use Strava and PolarBeat and I get all the info I need. You can use other Apps as well. (I also still use my normal speedometer while riding.)
  10. I agree. I did mine between the two long weekends (end April - beginning May).
  11. Maybe I am paranoid, but can we trust the website saying you have all 14 badges? Wouldn't it be more reassuring if you receive an email confirming that you have achieved all challenges? Or can the names of all the people who have achieved the challenges not be put up somewhere? It would be very sad if you thought you did it only to hear you didn't qualify according to the organizers. However,it still would be a win-win situation: Even if do not win an entry I will be a lot fitter and stronger after all this. I really enjoyed the challenge!
