What would you prefer if the price was the same? a wattbike or a Cycle ops trainer

A belated thank you for the fantastic event. It was very well organised. Is there perhaps a galery that can be viewed for pics? Saw some photographers along the route.

You guys are scaring me. Don't think I'm in your league especially after seeing ridr's stats. I'm training for comrades but thought I do this to see if i could manage the possibility of going the full iron man next year. not in any kind of shape yet so yes it's gonna HURT. Hoping not to be the guy who the organisers are waiting for at the end.

Any idea how many people have entered the ultra so far?

Hi All A little new to the sport. Have done some sprints and olympic distance ones. looking to do the ultra but concerned about the route profile of the cycle leg. Is there anyone who can share the route profile from last year or give guidance regarding the difficulty of the cycle leg. Runner training for comrades who like to dabble in other sports.

Just though I should give credit where it is due. I am in JHB and recently purchased a bike (Giant Propel advanced 2014) from a post on the HUB by BIKE ADDICT. Naturally I had to investigate before buying on the net and found out that the seller was the Owner of a cycling shop in CPT Malmesbury called BIKE ADDICT. Spoke to the seller and agreed a fantastic price. I then phoned his shop and spoke to one of the sales people who had just agreed a better deal with another customer for the same bike. He obviously did not know that I had already agreed the sale with the owner. The owner however took the principled approach and stuck to our original agreement instead of chasing the money. BIKE ADDICT also couriered the BIKE to me home in JHB at no additional cost in record time. After having a torrid time of trying to get the bike I initially wanted through bike shops in JHB I thought I must give BIG UPS to Johann Rabie and the BIKE ADDICT team for making my future cycling more enjoyable. Can't believe my luck on my new toy.
