  1. I kniw it’s been a loooong time sinve any action on this tread, but if any one are out there: 1. Can i use 10w Castrol in the sponges/ dust seals on RS SID and not 15w? 2. Bel-ray HVI 5w in the RS SID XX WC damper? 3. Castrol 10w in lowers? Thanks Stef.
  2. Help me right: Chinese frames have longer Seat Tubes, shorter Top Tubes, steaper HA, Skacker Seat Tube Angle. = Shorter Reach, weight further over back wheel. = go for a size biger.
  3. I regularly buy on Alix, always take cheapest shipping .. no hast. Takes a month to get to SA and then another month to my local PO. I’ve learned to be patient. Fast shipping are xpensive and a deal killer for me. I have the cel and landline of the PO Int del dude and phone him at 8am sharp for info when needed (he is in Cape Town). Never had any issues with quality up to now from China.
  4. Hi all. Have anyone bought a Trident Thrust HT frame from Trident Sport or MTB carbon rims from Crazy Carbon on AliX? Both Supliers very helpful. Trident supplies test certs.. if that is worth anything?
  5. Hi fellow K2C hubbers. Due to unforeseen kids activities I am selling our K2C accommodation at Baviaans West Guest House, 30km from Uniondale towards Willowmore. It is on a farm. 2nights (in 18Sept , out 20Sept), sleeps 4. We booked it as 2 adults and 2kids but can sleep 4 adults, The Flat.. The owner can supply meals if you ask.. which we would have done.. lekker boere kos! Selling for what i paid for it: R1210.
  6. O yes.. Just a reminder for all buying a set.. please set the bearing locks, so that the bearings do not get pinched tight when fastening QR or through axles. Too loose and the wheel will woble, to tight and you will have extra resistance. Still think it is the best value for money rimms out there... enjoy!
  7. I bought a set from CWC Willowbridge. . R6500.. Couple of months ago. . Very happy and impressed. Did find that the rear hub engaged bit slower than my Shimano's hubs with Syncros rimms up Stairway to heaven at Meerendal. . As if there should be more rachet teeth... or they should be smaller... so yes.. be in correct gear and keep pedaling around tight corners. I saved 450gm on rear wheel and 350gm on ftont wheel.. same tyres and cealant.. with 107kg limit and me only 75kg.. they are pretty much bullet proof!
