    Babbas Races

Hi, To anyone that have done the Babbas races before, can you pleas provide some info on how you found it. Maybe a rating out of 10 would help. I normally do the USN and Nissan races. Also on the 70km distance, how would you rate it against lets say a 70km Nissan race? +- how many people enter these races? Any constructive info will be appreciated. Thanks in advance.
  5. I work in the IT industry, and I can clearly see you dont Christiaan. You seem too willing to accept bad quality service and thus it is clear you have or had some relationship with SAS and or SAS owner/director/s.
  6. And meanwhile the USN #1 event was held on the 23rd of Jan, and today the 3rd of Feb still no event result have been uploaded. Not sure if SAS or the event orginiser is to blame, but either way still bad service for what we are paying for.
  7. It's nice that they realease a new site and innovate, but I have had this issue before where they take weeks to upload event results. I do not understand why one needs to email them after 2 weeks to ask for the uploading of the event results, surely that is something of a priority for the business they are in??
  8. Nice weather, not a lot of mud, in the end an enjoyable day out.
  9. Well, I am really not phased at all regarding the race pack, but the organisation in terms of sending an email is just professional courtesy I expect from a race organiser. And further to that, if I feel it is something I want to raise I am free to do so on any platform I wish.
  10. This is ridiculous, I do not understand why the organisers can send out an email informing everyone that the venue for number collection has changed, but they cannot send an email with our batching. I also tried SASeeding site, but cannot find the old functionality that provided the batching(might be me that did not look in the correct place). This is really bad from the organisers, the least they can do is send out a batching email on the morning of the number collection.
  11. You can also look at www.cycleevents.co.za. The first USN race this year is on the 23rd of Jan at Central Park / Modderfontein nature reserve. They normally have a 10km 30km and 50km distnace option for the race. The Nissan races is also nice, normally a 20km, 40km and 70km distance.
  12. Hi There, Purely depends on what type of riding you want to do? If racing marathon etc. then take the Epic, if you are going to embark on more technical rides and enjoy the challenges of a technical trail(difficult rock gardens etc.), then go with the Camber. Cheers
  13. Hi there, Try Linden Cycles, I like trying out a few shops in terms of service/pricing etc. and then selecting the two I will most frequent, and Linden Cycles is one of the shops I go back to most. Cheers.
  14. That is a pity. I am all for building the rural community etc. etc. and that is what is done through these events as everyone knows, but then have the same people beg next to the road is really not suppose to happen. We all contribute towards these type of initiatives(rural development) in some way or form, facilitated through various channels, but really when out riding(in an event) one does not want to deal with beggars and naked rude people.
