  1. I would... you would get better nutrition and also efficiency. The WP are great for wash&lube.
  2. Day one was undoubtably my worst day of ridding ever, having said that - crossing that finish line was sensational. Bike took a proper hammering... Any one else disappointed with this years Woolies Water Stations? Personally, I prefer the local communities/schools hosting the stations like they do at Berg and Bush. Adds a lot more GEES.
  3. Rode Modders on Sat... has the sponsorship fallen away for 2019? Trail was overgrown... sections in need of repair...
  4. Bike Addict need a serious crash course in manners and etiquette. They treat their customers like absolute dirt. Surely OMNICO and other suppliers can see the damage that they are doing to the industry?
  5. Popped into the new CycleGallery shop in Hobbart Centre, Bryanston. The shop belongs to Chris (Ex Design in Motion, Morningside). Always great to see passionate people doing what they love. Evident here. This is a proper LBS!
  6. Way overpriced! Also - the photographers sit next to each other. There is never a surprise.... not impressed with the Berg&Bush Descent pics.
  7. Hi all, This weekend at BergandBush my Garmin520 kept on showing low battery within the first two hours of each day. *It was 100% charged each night. *I did not have the course programmed on it. This morning I took it into Garmin in Rosebank who now want to charge me +R1600 to repair the unit as it is out of warranty. Has this happened to anyone else? Thanks in advance, Anton
  8. I have a Spez Power on both my road and MTB... it's time to change....
  9. Hi there, I am a proud BMC owner (FS01). Unfortunately they do not have great in store representation here in Gauteng. Their total sales in SA make it not worthwhile for BMC to monitor quality control and or drive a strong store presence. My next bike wont be a BMC... Probably a Santa Cruz...
  10. What a great race.... Well organised and a lot of fun.
  11. Hi guys, have entered the 95km.... have never ridden Breedts before. Looking forward to the pain.
  12. My view: The customer may not always be right but they are always the customer. Poorly handled from Bike Addict. **** attitude and **** approach to resolve this.
  13. My beloved SS Recently added the fork.
  14. World Class Service from Dunkeld Cycles HI Doddlers, This weekend I was reminded why it is so important to have a friendship with a LBS.... even better when you find an owner/operated one. I was out for a peddle on Sat morning when I noticed I had a nasty rude sidewall slash on my front tyre. (both sides) Bleak that I had to end my ride early I went straight to Dunkeld Cycles for some advice on new tyres. I walked into a busy shop to find Marc (owner) assisting customers. When it was my turn, he gave me his undivided attention and expert advice. He took me through all the various tyres they had available and what would and wouldn't work for my size and style of ridding. He then asked me when I want to ride next... Imagine my surprise when he said he could have my bike ready to ride within 30 minutes. (On a Saturday, with a busy shop) He even took the time to introduce me to the mechanic. Simply superb! Well done Marc & TEAM.
  15. This story sounds similar to the BMC and Swiss Cycles conversation. To date, BMC have not signed up a new dealer in the northern suburbs of JHB. If you want to buy a new bike its an online order platform. Not ideal... Swiss Cycles sadly closed its doors. Really sad to see how the LBS suffers in this corporate tactic and as a result their loyal clients too.
