  1. Really enjoying the daily highlights from Craig Kolesky's perspective. So much hike-a-bike, I guess that's one thing you take for granted watching the pros. They literally ride over everything and anything. Sad to see all the litter along the route. 🙈
  2. I can think of better things to do with my money (and time) than taking my bike for a hike. 😂
  3. If there was an S-Works sticker on the motorbike, it would cost more. Simple.
  4. Lol at the congestion on the trail.
  5. They finished faster than the 56k dial-up connection!
  6. "off the pace for now" – 0.5 seconds behind 🤣
  7. It's like watching a slideshow from the onboard camera. 🫠

    Insane. 46km/h avg. speed. 🙃
  9. The fact that it takes months or even years to do these things in (South) Africa is the real problem – it shouldn't take so long.
  10. Agreed – I couldn't care less if I ride with e-bikes and they "beat" me, I just hate the idea of them using it to benefit regular riders (pulling, drafting, etc.) and then those okes beat me! 🤣
  11. Not hating on e-bikes and totally agree on reporting individuals after the fact (assuming you know for a fact, looking at the results). The problem, in my opinion, is that they're even allowed to start in the non-e-bike groups (or whatever you call us normal plebs). There probably needs to be stricter checking at the start chutes – do those volunteers even know what to look for? i.e. what an e-bike looks like?
  12. I want what he was on! 💊
  13. https://results.finishtime.co.za/Stats.aspx?CId=35&RId=4464 Entered: 22,116 Finished: 18,292 Fastest: 02:31:21 Average: 04:46:08 It looks like the numbers are slightly up compared to last year (comparing on RaceTec) – which is a good sign. Still way below the numbers of previous years. In 2010, my first, there were 28,035 finishers. From the events I completed, it looks like 2013 had the most with a whopping 31,666! Edit: I realise now that in previous years there were no e-Bike or 42km events. And the numbers above excludes tandems (no way to get a overall total on FinishTime without manually adding them up). Each "event type" is split up on the web page above.
