  1. I do a lot of my business over web meetings and i have tried many different options but i always land up going back to Skype. there are some other options that have not been mentioned such as Google Duo which are pretty good. What i find important is the ability to use the platform on laptop and Cellphone, the ability to share screens and share files and the ability to use video or just voice. If i had to rate them it would go as follows: 1. Skype (Seems to be the most stable on low bandwidth calls) 2. Webex 3. MS Teams 4. Zoom 5.Google Duo 6. Slack
  2. Force majeure .. I would seriously doubt that athletes would get their money back if the event is cancelled. Man, can you imagine how gut wrenching it would be for the lads that have spent the last year preparing for this event, not even mentioning the financial commitment.

  4. Hi Al, I will upload it as soon as the final route has been decided on, at this stage we have a few options that we still have to decide on

  6. Hi Dan Thanks for the suggestion, only problem i see with age cats is that on the long race it can be Vets, Sub vets and seniors that could win the race so to split it into age groups wouldn't be fair, on the short race it is usually junior riders that win it but you could however make a "elite" batch with mixed age groups and then after that batch split it into age groups, we will have to look into it to find a working solution, the last thing you want as a rider is to be caught in a bottle neck on an awesome flowing single track.
  7. Mokgaga its in July, Final date still to be confirmed
  8. Thanks for the feedback guys, We always value the feedback (good or bad) the only way we can improve is by getting this feedback. With regards to the honesty seeding system, It will always remain a contentious issue and it may not be the best solution but we fine the same challenges with the traditional seeding systems as well, I bet you all have experienced getting stuck behind slow riders even in A batch. The fortunate thing about the Fast one is the long stretch of tar road at the start that usually sorts out any bottlenecks but if its not working we need to review the start procedure. We hope to see you at at the Winter Fast One!!
  9. Event Name: Summer Fast One When: 12 January 2020 Where: Rand Water, Gauteng Category: MTB Distances: 65km – R200 40km – R160 10km – R80 3km kiddies – Free Go to Event Page
  10. Try https://www.ocorner.co.za/ i have used them for spares in the past, they get their goods from Luxottica who are the agents for Oakley who have terrible service so you may be in for a wait but OCorner is always a pleasure to deal with
  11. Well that makes the choice alot easier ... guess its the dual sus then
  12. Hi guys I am looking for some advise from people that have ridden the 36one, would a gravel bike be a good weapon of choice? Two options to consider: Standard gravel bike Gravel bike with a Lauf fork
  13. do a search for Titan switch there is a few threads where the guys have raved about it, as far as i am aware it has standard cranks so nothing needs to be changed, wrt to the Silex, in my opinion you get the best of both words, it does really well on the road ( I do find myself riding in the drops a lot on the road but with the flared bars its very comfortable) with the standard 35c tyres it comes with, it is good on gravel as well but if you going to be doing something more than district road / Tar i would go for a 40C thats what i changed to and i find it still works well on the tar
