Klipheuwel Bike Park situated at Klein-Brakrivier adjacent to the N2 has one of the largest pump tracks in the area with a XCO track starting/finishing right adjacent to it. Safe for children and with Farm Stall and Beer House located on the same premises. Some great trails starts from the venue over private farm land next to the river and into the hills. The park is open from Tuesday to Sunday from 08h00 till 17h00.

Event Name: KLIPHEUWEL Run/Walk & Ride When: 23 December 2017 Where: Klipheuwel Mountain Bike Park, Klein Brak, Western Cape Category: Multisport KLIPHEUWEL RUN/WALK & RIDE Klipheuwel is busy preparing for the first KLIPHEUWEL Run/Walk and Mountain Bike event in the Klein Brak-river region on 23 December 2017. After successfully hosting the second Spur School MTB League event on our newly built Cross Country track in is time to share the beauty along the Klein Brak River as well as the hills surrounding the Klipheuwel dam on private Farmland with our holiday visitors? This event which will be presented annually during December to provide an event for the holiday makers as well as our locals. The 2017 event will involve mountain bike race with distances of 8, 12 and 30km and a night trail run of 4 km & 8km. This event is taking place on private farmland and a not to be missed opportunity. The first 600 entrants will receive a buff and medal for all finishers. Online registrations are open on www.chaingangevents.co.za. Our venue is ideally situated directly next to the N2 at the Klein Brak River turn-off ideally situated close to Hartenbos, Mossel Bay as well as Great Brak River and Glentana. We have ample safe parking and with the Klipheuwel Farm Stall, Boplaas Wines and a Salty River Craft Brewery on site the needs of the participants as well as the supporters will be well catered for and the MTB Pump Track, Eliminator and Cross Country tracks can provide great alternative rides to those who do not feel like doing the mountain bike or trail run. I commute with my Fatbike and generally find drivers very accommodating, especially the taxis. I do have to watch out for the busses as most of the drivers tend to thing they are driving a taxi and tend to side swipe you with the rear end. My biggest problem is other cyclists riding on the wrong side of the road!
