Hi gang, question for those here in NZ. Hope some one has been through this. I am a resident ( not PR yet). if i take a job with a ausie company it should have no impact on my residency right? If i stay in NZ and work remotely. And no, moving there is not a option as my wife says she is not moving again:) i assume there would be some tax implications ( possibly).

Not sure how i feel about the 700 price tag…but me wanting to commute into town i love the idea of the bridge. Cant they just lay down a floating bridge like juma used to do ( joke) The EV thing i feel is a sham. What are all SMEs going to do, all tradie vans and ute’s . The way I understand they will be taxed extra as there is no option for them. The same for farmers, companies with trucks etc. also don't see any electric motor bikes on Labours list( would love to see some)

Hi guys, planning to do the cycle challenge round the lake. Its in Nov. Any experience with the 160km? any recommendations for accomodation? Maybe will take the fam down and take a extra 2 or 3 days to see the area.

Hi NZ blockes.. im looking at bikes. New mtb, eye is on the Trance 2 29er and a disk road bike eye on the AR 3. As you might know stock is a major issue atm in NZ. Give me some shops you recommend? And TBH if i can i will bot use evo or torpedo as they feel like dealing with cycle lab. Have had numerous bad experiences with both. Would really prefer a local bike shop. Im in Auckland but if they courier doesnt matter where they are.

Do you guys here use a forum in nz? Like bike hub? A cycling/mtb forum ( especially here in Auckland)

Those who have the trainer inside... What do you use to orotect the carpet from sweat? Mine is in the garage but woukd love to move to the spare room... Just dont know what to do with sweat

So how many of you ride mtb here on the shore? If you have a group please drop me a pm... Struggling to find local rides. Closest i have is rivier head and cant do that alone due to no cell signal... Also dont want to always have to ride 20 km to a start.

Just on the “bad”... xc riding... think long 50 to 100km routes like a extended cradle and lanseria route or a quick 60km spuit does not seem to exist in Auckland. I am on the shore and there seems to be no option to do a quick 50 or so from my house. In Joburg i would have a 2 to 8 km tar and then be free on a variety of trails leading various directions. Granted some where i would pass a super dodgey area. Seems north island is enduro. Some suggest i do one or two of the short 6or 10 km rides in loops, but i hate loops. Whole reason i ride is to be free to gou out for a hour or two and just ride. Not sure what next step is in terms of riding..
