  1. This post comes at the perfect time. I've been wanting to cancel dstv but the only reason for keeping it is Supersport. Not keen on pirate sights so wondered what alternatives there are for cycling and rugby. Have netflix so movies and series sorted. Feels like I'm throwing money away with dstv just just for supersport
  2. Have you been using it for a while? Same thing happened to me with garmin strap and edge520. Heard somewhere about salt build up from sweat being an issue. Gave the strap a good wash and it's worked for 3 rides now. Not sure if its the main issue but it's working for now. Funny cause I never had this issue with my wahoo strap
  3. i think i know this dude as well.....saw him picking up stompies. even seen him 'gardening' on the side of the road too and once or twice sleeping under the bridge going down to newlands. as mentioned he's not altogether okay up there but i agree with you.....he seemed 'harmless' and weak so never saw him as a threat. can't picture that dude being fast as well (but i've been dropped many times by folks who didnt look fast) i commute to and from UCT daily so thanks for the heads-up. lots of security around but it's an open campus so we always need to be on the lookout.
  4. Best part, seriously ????...reason y I wont increase power to weight ratio in whilst peregrine exists....#pergrinepies

wow HdB i had exactly the same problem.....fitness wasnt the issue. Nerves on DH was....tested my patience as she would grip on those brakes as if her life depended on it Resolved this by signing her up for more smallish races and dropping back to ride with her. She's more comfortable now to ride alone and the confidence is growing. good idea doing the recon the day before. Seeing it herself will alleviate some of the fears. just pray that she doesn't fall (even the slightest fall will undo alles!) good luck to you both!

  8. Lol, got the same mail.seems the bar has dropped...."paid up" members seems to be in on this exclusive offer ????
  9. Ja quite a few glaring stare downs as they passed by....when I give this "vuil kyk" it's usually cause a motorist behaved badly
  10. Sorry to hear. Strength and peace to you and your family mate..prayers are with you all
  11. You gonna leave this thread more confused ????
  12. You'll be fine. I went there when I started taking up mtb again. There was this Craig conundrum or something that caught a few guys out. Not because it's technical but because they twyfel there. Trick is to decide and commit...no time to 2nd guess ????????
  13. Can't help but notice that spez was thoughtful enough to comment on this thread (one liner but at least something) but CD has not even bothered. Not even a bland..."the matter is currently under advisement" Perhaps they have been advised not to comment.....to me, it's seems as if they are not at all concerned about what perceptions their clients or potential clients might have. All of what we heard is one sided. They don't seem to care. Unless of course the one side is true and they have no additional context to add?
  14. i was going to say this but you beat me to it... the okes botched up a perfectly fine bike. Good of spez to try and mediate i think
