So you totally avoid that path even when there are not pedestrians on it and opt to drive in the road instead? I'm just trying to understand the logic here. Whenever I can avoid the roads (cars) I try to take the safer route. But I guess it's easier gambling with your life it seems.

Encountered so many riders not riding single file on the road going out of Jonkies. There is a bike lane out of harms way? Why ride in the road? Two abreast? So many cars had to sway into oncoming traffic to avoid these cyclists! Zero f**ks given. I'm a biker myself and *ssholes like these make my blood boil.

Any local Cape Town stores that have these in size small?

Hi, I recently took my bike in for a service. (It's a stock standard Giant Reign 2 with Deore / SLX setup - 2x10). The service was around R2400. It was a major service + the following had to be replaced: ChainCassetteFront chain ring (small one)CablesJockey pulleysNow, 150km in (one ride in that 150km was a shuttle day where minimum pedalling was required) after the service I snapped the chain. After "Gwinning" back to the start of the trail the local bike shop tells me the chain is worn out and the cassette shows signs of wear, also the jockey pulleys needs replacing because it's shifting the chain off the cassette / crank. R340 later (new chain fitted /labour/shifting checked) I am able ride home. Do I need to get a better (more expensive) drivetrain? Is the way I am shifting gears the problem? Do I need to have a bike check after each ride? Would a "simpler" setup like a 1x11 sort out the issue? How the hell do you enjoy your hobby if have to haemorrhage money the whole time?

Hi, I need some advice. I want to slap a Race Face Aeffect Crankset onto my Giant Reign and move to a 1x11 setup. Do I need a new bottom bracket to fit this crankset? I currently have the stock standard BB that came with the bike, think it's a Shimano pressfit BB?

Noob here. I want to convert to a 1 x11 setup on my Reign 2 (2 x 10 setup) I have the following : Shimano 11x36, 10speed cassette, SLX rear derailleur and a 22/36 Deore crankset. What do I need to convert to 1 x 11? New crank, derailleur, shifter & cassette? And at what cost am I looking at converting? Thanks.
