  1. Hi All, Just wanting to check if you have any experience with this - basically looking at changing over my 2022 S-Works Epic from the older Gen Sram XX1 AXS to the newer Sram Transmission AXS Groupset. The crank is where things get confusing to me - they say depending on chainline is which Q-Factor new crankset you need and which offset chainring to match. So am I right in thinking best option is to go for a 174 Q Factor crankset with a 3mm offset chainring? Thus thinking the standard chainline is 52mm, although when fitting the new cassette and with the new derailer joining the frame is the chainline not changed to 55mm and you would need a 168 Q Factor and 0mm offset chainring?
  2. Na, my Mrs is no doper. If she's riding at pace, she's doing so alongside me. Putting me in the hurt box at times, while I'm sweating bullets and she's putting in a top effort herself. So don't be despondent as I started somewhere once too, but sure do love a hard training ride with my Mrs alongside joining me vs riding apart and meeting up back at home hours later. She's cycling, it will always be considered cycling.
  3. Cheers mate, she's come a long way and pushes herself to only use eco and nothing at all at times where she's not riding against the weight of the bike. Keep at it though and you're bound to improve. With big bones comes big power when it all comes right💪
  4. Missed the point again I'm afraid, because you're riding using an ebike to assist doesn't mean you're not riding. Also in my case my Mrs is well capable of riding 100km, but in the event of a cycle tour starting alone and looking to enjoy her tour of Cape Town she'd much rather do it while pedalling her ebike. Again still peddling and still having to work for her 100kms.
  5. Likewise if I were to tell mates I'd done 100km on an ebike it would create an and then....... But to her, to her mates that ride or don't ride at all and have feared starting out that open their eyes to starting with an ebike rather then continuing to not start at all. Well that's a win everyday of the week.
  6. Speaking on behalf of my wife here, she couldn't care what her time was compared to that of the winning ladies or any other lady in the race. But sure is interested in it herself for the effort completed. So by all means include an asterisk, where anyone else on their own normal bike that may take umbridge to my wife's time being faster can see she's completed it on her ebike but at the end of the day it's an achievement regardless of the time and one that shouldn't be excluded altogether is my point.
  7. Can't help but feel how ignorant and short sighted that last comment of yours is. For someone like my wife, I know and can tell you she's worked hard for her 100km finish on her ebike. She cycles on her Mtb, managing her battery and the different power modes for it to last the 100km in the first place and enjoying herself while she's at it. Sure she could jump on her normal Mtb and have done a shorter event, or ride the long one and suffer through it, possibly having to get a helping hand now and again or push etc, but if she's having fun all by herself on her ebike and we can chat about the same route we both completed later that evening, well why not! It is an achievement for her to have completed the 100km and one I'm proud of her for doing which is also building her confidence. Leave each to their own, if you have a chop on an ebike racing - leave him be. It's the choice of the chap behind to sit his wheel, the ebikers not forcing him. If it becomes a safety hazard then agreed start them well seperate. But of course they should be allowed to ride and be timed for that matter. My wife's just under 5hrs is an achievement on her ebike, ones she's proud of and I'm proud of her for.
  8. Agreed, we need more details.
  9. Wonder, but to think of it - does she really deserve a ride with a big international team? Or does someone like Candice Lill deserve a spot somewhere🤷🏽‍♂️
  10. They just look so flipping cool They must be pretty damn strong and able to withstand a beating too if the Scott guys are going to be riding them on all the world cup courses and Epic this year
  11. I see even Mr British priminister has reversed his original decision allowing the public to exercise outside for a hour/day. Same applies here, no leaving your property unless you have to - just obey the rules!

  13. I'll be sure to try this - thanks Spidey!
  14. This the bike fit offered by Specialized? Anyone tried the offer from Cycle lab? Which fitment routine do they follow?
